exeter have signed danny coles 29 defender from the pirates

gulls, former carrow road favourite ian butterworth has joined a short list of 6 possible managers, the result to be announced on monday. former gulls striker tim sills may be in line for telford. finally gulls second hand 1927 grandstand is to be demolished and replaced by a purpose built 1750 seater stand. the original 1927 was second hand in that year and moved to the gulls from buckfastleigh race course. the old stand has survived storms, fire and development.
visitors may recall the stand only fitted two thirds of the pitch. its original roof blew off in 1929.
the new stand will include a suite of class rooms for an adjacant school. the new stand which will be finished in feb 2012 will restore plainmoors capacity of circa 6500.

that lot sounds about right atchamjack, other than the new stand name is called Bristows Bench after our late torquay supporting 15 million quid lottery winning vice chairman paul bristow, who died suddenly last june at 58 years of age, obviously a great loss to his family, but really bad luck for us as well.Without his financial backing and enthusiasm we would still be a bsp club,we will always be grateful too him,the good news is his wife has now joined the board as a director,we dont expect her to keep pumping money in,its nice though he still has links at our club. You have fantastic facilities which i have had the pleasure of using twice this year, your set up deserves a higher grade football,so yes how lucky you are, enjoy it,football can be a wicked game at times, and then ecstactic other times

hi sorry to hear about paul bristow. glad in a way we got rid of the cloggers of stevenage. good luck next season, hope you get a new manager and squad sorted soon. our matty harrold who played well in the play offs may be still availabe. there was a rumour that paul buckles pirates were bidding but i think they have overspent. i hope your club auction off bits of your old stand it sounds historic. perhaps it was a listed or more likely a listing building! away the gulls and floreat salopia
