I think The Sun is left out of that BBC 'front pages' section quite often. Guess they had a falling-out. The Sun has had it in for the BBC for decades.
Murdoch certainly has it in for the Beeb, but he also owns the Times and Financial Times. I haven't noticed The Sun being left out before but will keep an eye on that one. It's an interesting feature, you can compare how differently the same news is presented. As you say, The Star ploughs its own irreverent furrow.
We're being told by the supermarkets and by the government not to panic-buy. You know what happens when people are told not to panic-buy, Mr Mannering.
More pictures of stupid people with shopping trolleys full of toilet rolls? I'm losing the will to live.
I used to have an HGV 1 licence and did long distance work for a short time, couldn't wait to get back to doing local work. It's **** work, anti-social, and it's hard to get out of once you've started, I was very lucky that an old job became available. The shortage of HGV drivers won't be an easy problem to solve.
He's factually floating! What a f**king bell-end! Some muppets get into a car and think they're in the Batmobile. Usually the same kind who speed, cut people up and tailgate...
BBC News at Ten. From a feature about the climate emergency to a feature about bitcoins. A huge computer centre will use a quarter of Britain's energy supply generating them so that a few people in Wall Street can get rich. THey justify it by saying that a lot of the energy comes from natural gas. Lying is the new truth.
The only thing that comes from natural gas is carbon dioxide. Wealthy countries should not be allowed to "buy" permission to pollute. That makes the whole notion of a combined and coordinated global response to climate change meaningless.
They're crap environmentally, but a great firm to work for. Used to be anyway. I was at the Shell centre for 5 years and Shellmex House for 3 as a contractor and was envious of the "Permies". When I was replaced by a cheaper agency alternative Shell gave me a month's money as a sign of appreciation, and I wasn't even employed by them.
2 gaffes in one day from Boris. First he admits he knows nothing about the new oilfield off Shetland, then he praises Mrs T. for closing down the mines. The Red Wall will not be amused by what was intended to be a joke.
The depth of the UK housing crisis has never been more starkly exposed. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-58162371 On average, if you want to buy a home in the UK in 2021 it will cost you 8 times your yearly income. Ten years ago it was 5 times your yearly income. In London a new home will cost you 11 times your yearly income. And successive Governments including the current one regard rising house prices as a GOOD thing, indicating a healthy economy. This is a generational scandal now. But nothing is being done about it.
Something very serious going on in Plymouth; https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-58189679 Multiple casualties, police and ambulances (and air ambulances) everywhere in one area; Keyham. Early indications are it's a shooting incident of some kind.
