Boris Johnson was the ideal candidate to lead us ahrt of the EU because of his chameleon character. By resigning David Cameron showed that he is not stupid, whatever else you may think of him.
Nice move from British Gas today - firing all their engineers, then re-hiring the ones who agreed to a new contract. I'm glad I've never worked for a large employer.
He does have an eye for the older ladies too. When he began dating Koo Stark in 1981 she was 25, making him (at 21) something of a toy boy. Presumably had they met in these more enlightened times, Andy and Koo could have got married and lived happily ever after - like Harry and Meghan.
Another chapter in the tragic history of Afghanistan will begin soon. British and US forces are withdrawing. The Taliban claim they have won. But all they have won is another war with Russia in a few years' time. As long as their country has strategic importance, they will never be free. We've lost. The US has lost. And what we regard as universal human rights has lost. Over to you Mr Putin.
For pity's sake Boris could get a job on Cbeebies, but parents would complain he's dumbing it down. PS: I misread that bloke's name. Thought for a second he was called Jack Ceramic. That's hard. Well, harder than a caramel choccy bar.
I just heard on the news that a part human, part monkey embryo has been created by scientists somewhere. Well that's just put me off my breakfast. About 140 years ago some mad professor tried the same thing on the Isle of Dogs. Look what that led to!
What do we know? I've just heard that they have already had mice born with part human genes, and that their neural system was affected, ie more intelligent, better at problem solving. Scary or what?
We’re already fuking the world up why not do it properly! Glad i won’t be around to see it - but I do worry about my kids and grandkids
Well, that'll be handy - intelligent mice. Harder to kill, better organised, better at stealing food. Seems like a large downside there. Has anybody asked what the upside of more intelligent rodents is?
I can understand why M&S are upset, but I cannot see they have a legal case. None of the other supermarkets are pretending that their cakes are the actual M&S ones. Shoppers know that a cake from Aldi that's half the price of the M&S one isn't going to be of the same quality. But your average 2 year old doesn't care about that. It's the price that determines the choice of poorer consumers. Most M&S shoppers shop there for the better quality, and are willing to pay more for it. Having said that, some have commented that M&S have got loads of free publicity from this story. Not just any publicity. Marks & Spencer publicity.
