Cheers Lamba. No doubt there will be banana skins all over the pitch for us to slip up on, awaiting the team's arrival
Listening to Express FM, and already some disgusting foul mouthed chants from the home fans. Real class......
The referee has just limped off with a calf injury. 4 minute delay before a replacement ref could come on.
Just before half time, and Matt Tubbs scores for Pompey, from a pass from Kyle Bennett. 1-0 to Pompey. Tubbsy scores his third goal in the last two matches, and his fifth of the season.
Half time whistle, and it's 1-0 to Pompey. We have had six shots (two on target) compared to the home sides one shot (not on target). We have had 60% of the play in the first half.
The new fourth official is a person who answered the half time call over the tannoy for a qualified referee. Allegedly he is a Pompey supporter, as he apparently came out of the stand containing Pompey fans. I'm sure he will remain neutral during the second half
Pompey sub Romy Boco comes on for his first team debut, replacing Kal Naismith. Scott Boden replaces Zak Ansah for Newport.
Double substitution by Newport. Lenell John-Lewis and Scott Barrow replaced by Aaron Collins & Alex Rodman. Danny Hollands replaces Adam Barton for Pompey.
Pompey replace goalscorer Matty Tubbs with new boy Caolan Lavery; who is on loan from Sheff. Wednesday; making his debut.
Enda Stevens booked for a foul. 1,087 Pompey fans at the game today (out of 3,298 attendance) - well done lads
Another win in the bag and we didn't let in a last minute equaliser. Oh Happy day. I'm going to celebrate with some toasted cheese. Red Leicester today I fancy.
Final whistle and it's 1-0 to Pompey. Great win for us, and a clean sheet for the young keeper. Can't wait for Tuesday evening, and the arrival of Teddy Sheringham's Stevenage Borough
I love a bit of red liecester. Whenever I have a salad, I have a grilled red leicester chiabatta as a side dish... it's nice
Listening to Express FM, and already some disgusting foul mouthed chants from the home fans. Real class......
What were they chanting?
Most of the time it was F**k off Pompey, Pompey F**k off . So original, isn't it ?! Their "fans" have a bit of a reputation for nastiness, I think it was the last time they came to Fratton Park, they caused trouble. There were loads of police outside the ground (especially Welsh police) and the Newport fans attacked a guy with his girlfriend near the station and cut his head wide open. Trouble makers.
