Following the success of the 2012 Open Day, training yards will once again throw open their doors to the public on 22 September. Tickets are £13 each in advance or £16 on the day (under 12s and parking free of charge) with all proceeds going to three Newmarket charities - The British Racing School, The New Astley Club (a social club for stable staff) and The National Horseracing Museum. The day starts at 9am with live commentary on Warren Hill Gallop as horses work in front of the crowds. This will go on till 10am. From 9.30-12.30 the training yards will be open to the public where you can meet the horses and the staff looking after them. Bumping to remind everyone it is this weekend. John Berry's wife Emma has tweeted to say they'll be providing cupcakes and sausages for visitors if anyone is hungry!
Just to note, John Gosden's yard will not now be open, but he will be working several of his stars during the gallops hour 9am-10am.
