Once their future has been decided and will be done prior to start of new season. SPL deem that Rangers have a case to answer regarding dual contracts payments.

Also, the NewCo vote will take place on Independence Day. Let's hope they go the same way as the White House <ok>

Surely a charge should also be brought for holding the investigation up which would have incurred a cost to the SPL.

... but that wasn't the club's fault - that was those bad administrators. <whistle>

So as I said days ago Rangers will only get back into the SPL for commercial reasons and at the same time will be fined for the selfishness of other clubs.

"The Scottish Premier League has ruled charges against Rangers for paying players outside of their contracts will apply to Charles Green's newco if they are voted into the top flight"

"The Scottish Premier League has ruled charges against Rangers for paying players outside of their contracts will apply to Charles Green's newco if they are voted into the top flight."

"Disciplinary charges will be brought when the future status of Rangers FC is clarified and prior to the start of season 2012/13."

Surely the status of the Newco will determine whether or not charges can be laid at its door as opposed to the now defunct club, so is there not a contradiction between these two statements?

This story could be something of a good news situation for the cheating bastards.

I was always afraid if they got liquidated there would be little incentive to strip them of the trophies they cheated Scottish football to get.

I don't think they will get voted back in so the implication is that the footballing authorities won't punish them for over a decade of financial doping????

    This can't be right!!!

Even though the new company has won **** all and will win **** all except maybe the challenge cup for the next 5 years the old company is not the rightful owner of the "most successful domestic club in the world" award.

No stone should be left unturned until they are exposed in the history books for the fraudulent ****s that they are, erm I mean were.

Sorry but that's how I feel

Anyone else think this statement is to see newco in division one next year? Just yesterday the sfl said of rangers are denied entry to the spl then their rules state newco joins at bottom. However if newco are allowed into the spl but demoted for past misdemeanors then the most logical place to put a demoted spl side is division 1

Rangers do not exist any more.

There is a space in the SPL because of this.

There is going to be a vote.

If the other clubs vote to let the new club in, they shall be subjected to the same sanctions that Rangers would have been.

Remember, the new club is applying for a share allocation. Not a share transfer.

If the vote fails, the SPL who awarded the titles can still strip the titles of the now defunct club.

    How does that sound?

Why would a new club be subject to the same sanctions which would have applied to Rangers?

"The full list of sanctions available to the SPL are a warning, a reprimand, a fine, the annulment of an official match, ordering a match is replayed, a points deduction, the award of an official match to an opponent, ordering games to be played behind closed doors, stadium closure, expulsion from the league, the withdrawal of a title or award, ordering compensation to be paid, a signing embargo and/or any other punishment the SPL board sees fit".

This could be a sore one! Ouch.

I wonder if those bastards in their ivory towers at Hampden will impose a "legally binding" transfer embargo as a good old fashioned "get it up you"?

I don't think they should be.

I think the SPL have decided that if they want to pretend to be Rangers then that is the price of entry.
