For me, this is a fixture I looked for above all others when the list came out. I hope Chris Hughton gets the welcome back he deserves from us, I for one will give him a rousing reception (until you bloody score)! Our premier league latest results Spurs (H) 2-1 Chelsea (A) 0-2 Villa (H) 1-1 Everton (A) ?-? Yours (as if you need reminding) Fulham (A) 5-0 QPR (H) 1-1 Spurs (A) 1-1 West Ham (H) 0-0 Last season we were a tad unfortunate with injuries at your place, and you responded by leniently obliterating our makeshift defence with that battering ram of a CF. This year we could be in exactly the same position, but at home this time. Krul and Colo are doubts for the Monday match, and may be rested for next Sunday as well. That means we have to get Stevie Taylor potentially through 2 games (and we all know his injury record)... You have some cracking little (Leeds) players, and have been desperately unlucky not to win your first 3 points, especially yesterday where you nailed them for pretty much the entire game. I personally think it'll be a close game, possibly another draw. Anyone coming up to ours? Any early predictions out there (I'm sure you'll have your own match-day thread up later)? Anyway, wish you all well for the rest of the season, and if anyone is coming up, hope they have a safe trip!
Good OP I think we will be facing a defeat next weekend but you never know. City played well at Spurs and again yesterday without get the full rewards their play deserved. It may only be a case of a little more luck for the fortunes to change but an away trip up at Newcastle is possibly not the place for it to happen. I hope I am wrong as the next couple few fixtures after that are not likely to bring many more points.
Don't forget Norwich also had a depleted back four, playing three full backs. Also against Bolton, we had two full backs at centre back and a right winger at full back. We managed to keep a clean sheet so I don't think Newcastles weakened back four changed things. Anyway, looking forward to this fixture as I have family that used to live in Newcastle. Both games were great. Ba scored the best goal at Carrow Road last season from Cabaye's amazing lobbed ball and Cisse scored a great goal at St James' Park, so I'm definitely looking forward to this fixture.
The next 6 fixtures will undoubtedly define our season IMO. If we come away with 2-2-2 I would be "over the moon" and it would mean that the promise we believe our boys show is not misguided. CH does have a problem up front though. Holt has to take a spell but he terrorised them last year. I believe he should start with Jackson and Kane. Kane would be the opposite to the expectations of the Magpies and he looks as though he isn't afraid to shoot, however poor that was. And it would mean us playing the ball on the floor which is what our midfield is built for.
Could you guys explain what the bump and other comments are? Are we doing something wrong or annoying?
No, we're posting nonsense to move the post up the page and relegate the deleted spam posts, further down the page to get rid of them!
no easy games at this level we can beat anyone if we just believe think our defense is looking good now just need to get Holty some service and we will be minted
I feel that we do need to pick up a point at least from this game as we have got a poor return from some decent performances and 3 points form 5 games would be worrying.
