What do you want us to say about a game that hasn't happened yet? There is a reason it's called a Match Day Thread
Let the manager pick the team and trust his judgement, that's why he is there. Some will comment during the game, most after because they are busy watching it. I doubt you will see many whines about supposed cards/penalties or people screaming about bent refs, just the odd comment on a great (or maybe lucky) goal or a particular player having a mare/playing well.
Great game, Toon were **** as normal, cant see the Fat Spanish waiter staying much longer. And a clean sheet as well Pog was best player again, with a great goal and Rashford with 2 easy tap ins. UTD should have had 4 penalties and Toon 5 red cards
I have it on good authority that the reason Sanchez doesn't start games is that he was confused with a mascot early in the season when Smalling walked out onto the pitch holding his hand.
I enjoyed yesterday's game more than the past 3. Reason? Because we actually had to fight for it and not a walk in the park. So sad that Mourinho spent all his time in the summer moaning about lack of signings and disparaging the talent at his disposal. Even if we won't win the league, we should without a doubt be challenging for it. To think we had ZERO goal difference after 17 games? Madness! You're right on point. Things have got quiet here in the past few years. I guess fans had nothing left to debate. Hopefully that will start to change.
Things we learnt from last night - Jones is still crap, Lindelof can defend when he wants to, Sanchez is a dwarf, Rashford ought to be our #1 striker and Ole should stay. Tactics are often derived from a collective input and even if this proves to be a shortcoming of his (and we don't yet know) then Ole can take advice and implement tactics as he goes - his main skill seems to be top-rate man management and United blood in his veins. We won't get that from ZZ or Poch.
