    Date - Saturday 30 / 04 / 22

    Venue - St James Park

    KO - 12 : 30

    TV - BT

Off to the Toon to play the latest money club . Their recent home form is excellent with 6 consecutive home PL wins . Their January signing Bruno Guimaraes has been their outstanding player in the last few games and the home crowd are absolutely loving it . This could be a real tricky fixture particularly with it being sandwiched between the Villareal games .
Fairly safe to assume Jota , Matip and Keita will start instead of Henderson , Konate and i would guess Diaz .

    PL 24-7-2

    CL 8-0-0

    FAC 5-0-0

    LC 5-0-0 - W

We will see a few changed in this game.

    Keita nicely rested here.
    Jota ready
    Tsimikas, not so sure.
Gomez will be bursting to play.
    Matip rested.
    Frimino still an unknown

Hopefully we see the Newcastle who played Everton lol.

This lot are safe now but know they are on tv so an agreeable 2-0 would hopefully not be unacceptable loss margin for them.

Need to apply the pressure to city v Leeds on in the evening

they changed the rules last year so teams playing CL Wednesday wouldn't play early game on Saturday. Seems to have just gone out the window now as has happened a few times to us and I think United this season.

    Not sure why tbh

Newcastle are going to be up for this and City are going to be cheering them. Early kick off makes it more difficult. It is a must win game hoping City will slip at Leeds.

The fact that they've improved lately should mean we're unlikely to be complacent.

New date set for Southampton match
A new date has been set for Liverpool's trip to Southampton in the Premier League.
The Reds were due to visit the south coast on Sunday, May 15 but instead they will face Chelsea in the FA Cup Final at Wembley on Saturday, May 14.
They won't have to wait too much longer to get to St Mary's however. The match has been rearranged for Tuesday, May 17 with a 7.45pm kick off. The game will be televised live on Sky Sports.

Still reading, not flouncing but going to try and not add my pessimistic **** to the forum
Hope we can win another pot or two
Going to ignore all jinxes, superstitions and reverse jinxes and use this to improve my mental stability
Going to enjoy this run in as i have never known a run in like this (2001 was the closest)
Probably wont be around next time it happens
    Good luck red men

Whatever the result, I just hope people appreciate what we are doing right now….even if we don’t win another thing this season, it’s impressive and will only be appreciated in the future. Personally, I don’t think that the quad is possible…..eventually, we’ll run out of gas in one or more of the competitions - I just hope that we get at least another trophy as the season merits that.

That is my fear that we will end up with "just" a League Cup to show for such an impressive season .

I can see us winning either CL or FA cup or both. I’m my opinion it’s 50/50. We have a decent record in finals so should be confident.

Can’t see us overtaking city for the league though. Likely to have to win every game and even then relying on city to lose or draw one which could do but we’re just as likely to.

Either way should be a fun final couple months.

Toon fan here. I predict 1-2 to Liverpool.

You need the win, we don't. We'll defend deep and well but wont be enough in the end. Enjoy st james park for all those who are going.

Yeah…it’s entirely possible too and would actually feel like a poor season given what we could win with a potential 8(?) games left. But it wouldn’t be….it would still be an epic season. Football without hope is awful, we’ve all been there…..football with hope is incredible and let’s face it, with 8 games to go, we couldn’t really have much more hope….even if, eventually, we fall at the final hurdle.

I'm already thinking what am I going to do one this is over! its an epic run of matches. all of a sudden it'll be over and then summer.

If we win one it'll be great but IMO we will have two finals here to have a go at.

This weekend imo is THE weekend in the title race.

I'm looking at the rest and newcastle home, and villa home are gimmies. They play west ham and wolves away. With west ham in the europa SF they could easily surrender the battle for 7th to focus on that. Wolves are not really pushing west ham too much.

the longer city go the easier imo this gets for them imo. Newcastle is after the real madrid away game BUT guess what, they get the full Wednesday to sunday 4:30pm time favour where as WE get mis treated royally this week.

I don' think its a matter of possible or not.

Its a matter of fact that right now no matter what we do city will win the title unless they draw a game minimum.
he Fa cup final is a massive ask given the games we have seen between us and chelsea. Chelsea boss our midfield and create bags of chances they miss.
the CL final is now very much possible and i won't call who it will be but till be an epic final game.

we wont run out of gas imo, I just think there's games were gas or no we are exposed. Spurs, cheslea and either opponent in CL final. All of these can exploit our high line.

I thin personally city might drop one draw in if we are lucky but we will struggle to beat spurs as son will run through us. we will need at least 3 goals v spurs. The city point drop will be away from home at best. They really ought to canter through the games barring an issue round CL.

Agree with this. I don't expect us to win the quad, but the fact that we still have a chance to at the end of April is an achievement in itself.
