Spurs i could stomach even if we'd lost justly with 11 on the pitch. This one though. If we don't win, I'm gonna go mental.

Newcastle don't have much possession at home. We need to make sure we hurt them and score. Odegaard needs to be on form. Saka needs to be fit. I'd almost play Pepe too. He's a goal threat.

I agree I think if we're going to hurt Newcastle, we need to be on them from the first whistle. No let-up until the game is done and dusted. Then, we rest for the final weekend.

We have a great record in this fixture over the years which is helpful. Hopefully that trend continues. I do think Newcastle have improved against the sides in and around them in the table but still lack consistency against the really elite teams.

Are you saying that Arsenal are among the really elite teams? <cool>

The issue here is we’re not a ‘really elite’ team IMO and I’m unsure how they will handle the pressure in this situation.

Newcastle’s home record in 2022 has been impeccable, so it’ll be a hard ask for us. However, they’re not exactly invincible, and we need to show we’re not going to let the Spurs result determine our fate.

I hope they rise to the occasion. It’ll be a big mental hurdle to overcome if we can do it.

Spurs beat Burnley today (as expected), which means (if we didn’t know already) Newcastle is a must win.

As I’ve said before, so long as we win the games we’re supposed to win, then what them lot down the road do is irrelevant.

Honestly if Arsenal bottle these last two games, Arteta will be back under a lot of pressure from the fans.

From the position we find ourselves in, it would be extremely disappointing if we lose out on 4th spot, especially to Spurs.

All eyes will be on us tomorrow night, so the players need to rise to the occasion and show we won’t wilt under the pressure like everyone seems to think we will.

The only player we've been linked with so far who's said 'CL or I'm not coming' is Dybala apparently and I'm not sure I rate him anyway.

imho us drawing with Brentford and Liverpool while you beat Chelsea, United and West Ham meant thst 4th was yours.

Was surprised you played such a high line against us but you could afford to lose that game.

Toon have got players who know they won't be there next season (so won't be fussed) and tbh they just ain't all that and most of them will be mentally on the beach...we slaughtered them just a month ago when ghey were pretty much safe from relegation.

Everton look safe so they'll also be on the beach.

On top of that you have a really good record against both of them over the past decade or so.

Our last minute loss to Brighton has cost us imo.

I accepted we aint getting top 4 after we drew away to Brentford and then you got full points v Chelsea, United and West Ham.

Our inconsistencies have ultimately cost us whereas you came good at the crucial time.

Dude, fourth was yours the minute we lost to Palace, Brighton and Southampton. You've spursied it slightly since but still look good for it. I think we'll both be top 4 next season with Chelsea dropping out.

We still need to do our job against Newcastle and Everton. And whilst we obviously have the ability and should be expected to win those games, we have lost to a number of teams in the lower half of the table and have shown we are inconsistent. Tomorrow’s game will be no exception.

Let’s be real here, Norwich is basically 3 points for you whereas Everton still have something to fight for as it stands, so although we should beat them too, it’s much harder playing teams fighting for their lives.

Said on the Liverpool board tonight that players who talk CL or i'm not coming aren't worth having. Nobody sign's a 3-5 year contract on the strength of playing possibly 1 season in the CL, if they rate themselves enough they should be saying "i will get them into the CL".

    Must win tonight

don't care if we blow them away or we scrape a win with a last minute goal scramble

    3 points is essential.

If White and Gabriel are fit our chances improve tremendously IMO.

So similar to what Bruno Fernandes and Donny van der Beek said when they joined you?
