    Man Utd are quite awful, but as we are too it's really difficult to call. Assuming no-one is back, got to go with Ryan Taylor at left back (laughably, a utility right back is our best left back). The others pick themselves in defence. I wasn't sure about 4-4-2 because it means we have to accommodate a Championship-level player, in Riviere. I'd sooner bring Perez in alongside Cisse, but just dropping deep as i'd like Cisse to keep off the shoulder of the defence. 4-4-1-1;

Krul, Janmaat, Willo, Colo, Raylor, Obertan, Abeid, Sissoko, Sammy, Perez, Cisse.

    Should be an ok match.

7-0 defeat....Rooney hat-trick. Man Utd are ****, but we are one of the worst sides in the PL and with our defence you know sooner or later we're going to take a battering. Man Utd are due a game where it all comes together finally for Van Gaal. Seems to be that it's always against us when they come good.

Crap as we are, we are surprisingly not one of the worst sides in the Prem. We are 11th and deserve to be there. The league this year is very poor

I'm not so sure the league is that bad this year. For the past few years we have done one thing, squeak out wins by the hair on our chins, and get blown out frequently. Hence our goal difference being atrocious. I think Man U are ****. They've bought a bunch of superstars in other leagues and that talent isn't really translating. I think we both play boring stuff, it'll be a boring draw or we'll lose on some shambolic defending.

I think people are too quick to jump on the Man U are **** bandwagon. They have not been great to watch this season. They have gone through a difficult period after the last of their homegrown superstars departed (Giggs/Scholes). Under Van Gaal they have improved but clearly have a long way to go. He will get it right as he has done everywhere else, and once things click they will be challenging again. He is too good a manager is Butthead.

The PL is not all that great a league. Entertaining wise it has lost some lustre too. I watch a fair of Spanish and German football. German football is easily the most watchable. It didn't used to be but now the quality and skill level is high, the games are played with real intensity, the atmosphere 2nd to none. Spanish football is a bit weird. Technical wise the overall quality across the league is very very high. Its just not all that watchable. You get the odd game though where the skill level just reaches ridiculous levels.

I have watched a bit of the Italian league this season and that could be on the up again. Quite entertaining at times. The french league is an absolute snoozefest but I watched one game this season which was like a PL from the best times. Fast, aggressive, tackles flying in, lenient ref. St Etienne were involved. That Galtier we were linked with was a headcase of Pardew proportions, no self control, it was great.

I think we are **** to watch but we can't be one of the worst sides in the league, we're 11th?

Are premier league teams really paying that over the top for average players? I mean english players of course. Some players just do not translate to the BPL. Soldado was a stud in spain, is he even still on spurs?

Aye I'd definitely start Perez instead of Riviere. We really need more grit in midfield vs Man U but with Colback still suspended and Tiote knackered we instead have Sammy! FFS!

I would particularly enjoy it if we did win this one. There is something I find strangely enjoyable about watching LVG get beaten.

I don't think we are one of the worst teams in the league. The table doesn't lie. We are a direct image of Mike's business plan being executed to perfection.

4-0 to Man Utd. No matter how **** you think they are, Falcao > Williamson, Van Persie > Coloccini, Rooney > Abeid, Di Maria > Janmaat, Mata > R Taylor/Haidara. All I can see is goals for Man Utd. If we actually show some sort of will to win, maybe we will fluke a consolation goal. BT Sport will be there along with Michael Owen and Steve McManaman to **** off over Rooney et al and stick the boot in. Hope I'm wrong but it doesn't look too good to me.

I think the PL is piss poor and has been for a number of years. Greatest league in the world according to Sky? Not a chance.

the referee for this game is Anthony Taylor from....................... Manchester (last season) Cheshire (this season)
how the fook is this allowed
he still lives in the Greater Manchester area
even if he is not a Man U fan or Man C fan he still bloody lives amongst them
suppose he will be getting a lift on the Man U team bus to save on his carbon footprint
