Oh FFS, do we have to endure another match? I thought the season had ended already. Bloody hell.

I'm gonna tart this thread and do the Liverpool one in the next day or so to wash my hands of things.
    Can't wait for the beach.

It has ended. Just not technically.

2-1 to Cardiff is my prediction, with much banter, disgust, calls for Pardew to be sacked, etc. then more complaints, followed swiftly by realisation that nothing will change and, ultimately, apathy.

I remember giving someone a little stick on the old not606 for wanting a defeat to rid a manager, now I am hoping the same.

I just can't bring myself to wish a defeat. Especially at home to Cardiff. No disrespect meant to Cardiff, but to want to lose at home to them shows how awful some fans feel the club is. I still can't go that far.

I did put an 'insurance bet' on a hammering away to Arsenal, to soften the blow. And I may well do likewise away to Liverpool. But home to Cardiff? Come on! We all know Pards won't get the boot (despite your cheeky threads to give us false hope). So I have to hope for a win, just to keep my sanity.

Going against my normal beliefs I have a feeling that we may not win this one.

    1 - 1 Draw

I shall be there right to the bitter end.

24-0 to Cardiff - Pardew after the game 'We couldn't compete with them. They was a good side and we worked hard but the fans have to realise that we cannot give them what they want'

"I thought we showed great resolve to come out second half at 14-0 down and contain them just 10 more in the second half. That showed our togetherness and great spirit and I'm proud of the lads for that. Anyway, that 15th goal was off-side, which for me ruined our chances of a fight back. And if we had won that throw in on the 38th minute, it could have changed the game. And if the fans hadn't started booing at 20-0, then we might have found that little bit more in us to come again. If the fans had given us more support then who knows what kind of result we could have got. All I know is that I'm here for the next 37 years and we need to build slowly."

As HBA is at home in Paris I can see him having a big impact on our defeat... (in pardew's eyes).

You could add we can't compete with clubs of Cardiff quality and financial clout.

If we do lose again, it will at least do two things:

    1) Put more pressure on Pardew

    2) Put pressure back on Sunderland

For the 1st time in my life I want us to be beaten, not just for the grief it will give the Mackems but also heap more pressure on Pardew. We then go to Liverpool for a tanking and that will leave us with 8 straight defeats. Surely this must then get him his taxi.

I don't 'want' us to lose. If we do though i'll not be too disappointed. I think I will actually be gutted if we win - because it will paper over the cracks and give him ammunition to justify staying for longer.

    I'm with Windy.
Don't want to see a loss but if we do... it's kinda some small comfort.
