Hi chaps!

Any word on who was awarded Newcastle United's Player of the Year for 2013?

As far as I know, these are the previous award winners...

2005 Shay Given
2006 Shay Given
2007 James Milner
2008 Habib Beye
2009 Steven Taylor
2010 Jose Enrique
2011 Cheik Tioté
2012 ?
2013 ?

I would be most grateful for any assistance you can provide.

Not sure, but the fans' vote went to Jose Bosingwa for his match winning performance against QPR when we most needed 3 points.

Thought it had gone to our twelfth man, the FANS.

Has there even been an 'official' award this season, or have they been too embarrassed to announce it?
Not seen anything from the club. Would be a hard choice this year.

"Right, so they award for the player who under performed the least goes to...."

Tim Krul won the award this year. Didn't 2012 go to Coloccini?

<cheers> Was that the official club awards? I've only seen forum / website votes from fans. Not seen anything from the club. Do you have any links?

I'm curious why a Spurs fan is taking an interest in our beloved club. Are you thinking of switching fella? Heard about the quality of the fat man's pies?

if he's lucky then he might come on in the 62nd minute, to replace Shola (who will come on in the 60th minute).

Only from Andy Woodman's comments the other day;

"“Tim won all the (Newcastle) player of the year awards, so I take that as a sort of pat on the back for the job we did together.."

Says it all when a player who missed 18 games gets player of the season.

Perhaps even more astounding when our defence has been as culpable as anything for our demise. I think everyone knows the best player to pull on the shirt was Ba. But it's not like the Oscars..."and the award goes to....DEMBA BA....<applause>....Demba couldn't be here tonight as he has another project he's working on in London. So here to accept his award on his behalf is Papiss Cisse. Here you go....oops, he missed."

<laugh> Cisse tried to grab the award too early and was ruled offside.

:1980_boogie_down:

Obertan was next up, but ended up running out of the exit instead of onto the stage. So Jonas grabbed it, went down a couple of steps, up a couple, turned around, then gave it to Paolo Di Canio.

Then Tiote took Di Canio out with a head high scissor kick, before pleading innocence to the ref.

Please allow me to sate your curiosity.

I have a footy stats web site which covers every aspect of the beautiful game, including club's Player of the Year awards...

Premier League Club Statistics 1992-93 to 2012-13

...the details for Newcastle United were one of the few clubs I was missing.

Thanks to everyone for their assistance.
