Newcastle United in talks with Lille over Gervihno?

    I notice quite a few sites saying we're actually in talks with Lille, over the signing of Gervihno.

    I'm not going to make any specific mentions, but if you type Gervihno in google, and go to news, theres quite a few sources suggesting we're in talks with Lille.

    Do you think that these claims are true, or just ****?

    Liverpool are keen too, so we will be having some competition for his signature, saying that I'll love it if he came to St.James Park!

    Liverpool are linked because one of their directors said they were interested before signing Suarez and Carroll.

    I know Arsenal have been keeping a keen eye on him for a while so it will be interesting to see what happens in the summer. No doubt that this is the age and calibre of striker that we should be looking at though.

    Problem is, Tottenham and Liverpool have also been linked with him and seeing as we're (compared to them) on limited funds i'm not sure i'd want us to win a bidding war

    True or false, think there will be bigger teams than Newcastle United in for him, though having said that I thought the same about Ben Arfa.

    i think gervinho is just maybe a little out of our league, i know were a top team but i can't see us getting someone that amazing

    I think he is probably too good for us, but with Tiote signing a long term it could be true as they are both Ivorian :D
