According to the Chronicle... "Newcastle United have denied that head coach Steve McClaren has been relieved of his duties" I am really confused by what is going on. All I can say is that if this is true then I will be EXTREMELY let down by the club.

Perhaps Rafa's just being brought in as a visiting expert, in the hope that by the time we get relegated Schteve will have picked up enough of Rafa's tactical know-how to get us back up again.
Haha! I feel like it has already taken its toll. All I can gauge from this is that... I don't even know ha! so many different stories and pieces of information in one day!! 1minute Benitez has signed, next McClaren is told he isn't sacked, next Shelvey comes out fully in support of McClaren and Koeman adds his piece fuelling the "dont sack McClaren" brigade. The spanish papers are all claiming that Benitez has signed 100% for 3 years. Next McClaren turned in the direction of his home after training fuelling rumours that he isn't sacked. I can't take all this.... we need clarification from the fat controller... and soon!
This is an absolute farce! The club is a joke. We are now well past the 48 hours THEY suggested an announcement would be made in. The only thing I can imagine is they are thrashing out the fine print of McClaren's departure or his promotion/demotion within the club and Rafa getting his selected members of staff in with immediate effect BUT all they have to do is make an announcement to say it is close to being resolved and everyone would have a rough idea of whats going on. The silence is deafening and with every passing hour no news is coming out its making us a less (if possible) attractive proposition to prospective managers/head coaches/puppets.
