Can anyone recommend any good NUFC books? I am going on holiday a week on Friday to Sharm El Sheikh and would like a good book to read on NUFC.

I have the book about the what the fans went through from 1979-84 by Mike Edmondson and that was a great read and a great laugh and would like another interesting book regarding NUFC.

I don't want a book about certain players or managers as I would just get bored. Can anyone recommend any decent ones that they have read?

I don't know any good books, but I assume you have timed this holiday nicely so you don't miss the Tottenham match?!

Gazza - Daft as a Brush.

Seriously though, if it doesn't have to be Newcastle have a look at www.theblizzard.co.uk. Its a quarterly that brings together decent articles from good football writers, but steers away from the usual Premier League big 4 nonsense. You can either buy it hard copy, or get a digital download for whatever you want to pay. I downloaded Issue zero for 50p and read it on my phone and was well impressed, just bought hard copy Issue 1 for £6, well worth it.

Give the website a look and see what you think, but I think you should get it by Friday if you order soonly. Ignore the fact the publishers from Sunderland...

Let me know how you get on. Its doing well but it seems to be a proper word of mouth thing, clearly aimed at proper football fans rather than 'Torres is ****/leave Torres alone' Sun readers, only heard positive reviews from people I've mentioned it to. Please note I am not in any way affiliated, just curious really.

I wouldn't worry too much about a good book, the Hotel will probably have a copy of the Bible in your room.

GF bought me Black and White daft for christmas, a collection of first hand accounts of mainly away (but some home) games from 1979-84. It's a very entertaining read but I can only presume that it was proof read by an illiterate bat.

Available in the Back Page, I believe.
