I think it could be a good move considering he would be signed for free. I Don't know why people seem to be against the idea of signing him, he scored 7 goals in 12 games for the side who finished 20th in the league. Ba would get even more goals from the likes of Barton and Ben Arfa's deliveries which would be great so long as he stays fit.

    What do you think?

Some people seemed to turn on him recently, not sure why entirely but maybe about a bad attitude or something? He did well and would be a very good move, I'd still like to see us try nab somebody else for up front too though.

Edit - actually didn't it turn out that he's massively injury prone or something? I've not been paying much attention to Ba really.

Yeah I'm definately for signing him.
However that would be under the condition that we sign someone else to back him up/ play along side him.

This would be the signing of the summer if we got him on a free. Quality player, relatively young, and exactly the type of striker we need.

If we get him, Gervinho(not given up hope just yet!) and if we rely on him, Tiote and Gervinho we will be ****ed for the African Cup of Nations and that is why we need two backups - Hoaroa/Erding an Long + Best and Lover would be nice.

If he's on a free and reasonable wages them that balances out his injury concerns. If we got 20/25 games a season out of him he'd probably return ten goals, so yes from me.

I'm not sure. He is very injury prone and has a poor attitude. Sounds a bit like owen.

I dont think his attitude would be a problem. He seemed fine and when everything blew up at West Ham it was clearly the fans fault.

For a free transfer yeah, would through big wages at him though. He's failed 2 medicals because of his knee, and with our track record of injuries, he would probably spend more time in the treatment room.
If we did sign him and he was the only striker brought in I would be very disappointed.

I'd take him with the majority of his wages tied up in appearance (and goal?) fees.

Call me deluded but I rate Best over Ba and I also think Best could be the new Chicharito :bandit:

How has he got a poor attitude? He got racially abused at an end of year party at West Ham and he got angry. And also he isn't injury prone, he has played most games since West HAm bought him

Haha yeah I noticed that, bold writing loses it's effect if it's overused!

  20. I think he's worth around 8/9 million, but his reported knee problems and wage demands throw me off a bit, but on a free i can't complain.

He's better than any of our strikers.
