Poor Newcastle, Ashley has decided to call their beloved Stadium, the erm...
' Sports Direct Arena! ' Yuk.

What would you hate our Stadium to be called?

    Or, like to be called?

While we're at it, has anyone got any good/bad names for re-naming any of our stands?

It would be much appreciated if everyone would just keep calling it St James' Park. Ignore the commercial name <ok>

Absolutely. St James' Park has class and history written all over it. The new name is a cheap reflection of it's owner.

Of course Chappaz, I cant see any decent fan calling SJP anything else.
What a kick in the teeth for the fans though.
Everything had seemed to have have calmed down up there, Team doing well, Good Manager, Ashley keeping a low-profile and then this.

They are using the unbeaten run and the feel good factor to push this through with minimum protest.
As soon as the name change is announced they will start losing and the fat pleb will be back in the frame.

    Normally, yes 999.
The diversion for me is Irish playoff for Euros against Estonia.

The PL fixture list being shorter than the championship and the fact that there are no PL games during international breaks make it harder to get on a roll.
Stoke will benefit from this break, we won't.

That's what i'm slightly concerned about twins.
It would have been good to have played them say, tonight following their display v Bolton.

The championship, although I don't want to be back there, is like a long muddy glorious gladatorial campaign that once it starts stops for nobody and nothing.

Being in the premiership is like being on a film set; lots of hanging around and the all too brief action scenes are over in a flash.

If it helps make them financially self sufficient then it's a good thing.

Too many short sighted fans about hanging on to some false perception of history and tradition.

i understand naming a stadium when its new but re-naming an existing stadium is just wrong, there was a rumour we were to be re-named the Kingfisher Stadium in a sponsorship deal

Just make sure we get the location right when we move: The Air Asia White City Stadium.

Or to give it its full name to avoid any confusion about ground sharing: The Air Asia West-London-Is-Ours-So-F***-Off-Chelsea White City Stadium. Bit of a problem regarding signage but gets the appropruiate message across.

Very true. Despite all the other names that maybe should be used, she'll always be Sarah Jessica Parker to me.....
