I reckon this sentence needs restructuring:

Newcastle have previous with Ajax, having signed Vurnon Anita from the club last season, and are keen for more signings this summer, having only added one player so far.

And a seven euro bid by Spartak seems a bid far fetched as well.

And no that's not my website, most of the articles are copy paste articles from Algemeen Dagblad or De Telegraaf. Or the usual paper filling of the Daily Mail transfer rumours. AD does practically the same, not as reliable as VI or De Telegraaf. But there is no background or context in their articles. It's just straight up match reports, transfer rumours and a couple of facts stories. I do stories, trends and anecdotes of the Eredivisie and more notably, I do reports on players. So no, that ain't my website. I make my own content on my blog. You can find the link in my signature.

Anyways, I call bull on this story, Newcastle right now is in the same situation as Norwich. Alderweireld wants to win trophies and get a guaranteed first eleven spot, Ashley and Kinnear can't guarantee that as they already got Santon, Debuchy, Mbiwa, Haïdara, Coloccini and Taylor for his positions. So that's surely a no from Alderweireld's side.

Also, the way Vurnon Anita has been treated by Pardew... Toby is just one phone call away to find out how players are treated at the club. And if there's anything concrete from NUFC, he will definitely make that call.

Tim Krul is not an Ajax man though, and he is not in the position of Anita or Alderweireld as a goalie. Got a lot more job security there mate ;)

We won't be interested in another centre back, makes no sense for him or us. He'd be watching which is hardly what he would want at this stage of his career. Anita hasn't had poor treatment. He has been integrated into a new squad and league. Expecting a big season from him.

Didn't say he was treated poorly, but getting benched after a very impressive streak of games because Ashley bought some new Frenchies was very harsh on him. Not Pardew's fault but still very harsh on Anita.

It was a bit harsh but I think it'll all stand him in good stead this year. I hope he gets a lot more chances, I think Tiote may find himself watching Anita if he doesn't rediscover his game.
