Kerry--How reliable is the Independent for gossip? It seems a bit weird thinking about Cech's replacement at this point in time, as I cant imagine Krul wanting to be a bench warmer! As for Tiote--bring him on!
No point in getting Tiote either, no more African players please, unless they change the dates of that poxy ACN. I'd bring back Courtios for next season & give him some game time.
Good players but I'm sure 30 million could be spent better. With Cech and Curtois for keepers do we need Krul?? And as good as Tiote is, does he add anything we don't really have with the likes of Rameires?? We need a winger and maybe a right back as priorities.
If we play Mata centrally I honestly don't think we'll need a playmaker! Especially when we have Josh. Tiote is good but he has his moments and is worth nowhere near that fee. Agree with buying a winger though.

He's only made 3 appearances and I couldn't see much of him on MOTD. I think we gave them to him at a bad time when they already loaned that Sigurdsson fella who is doing brilliantly and probably keeping him out.
One for a couple of years though...I thought he looked quite lively against us, just got a bit lost with no other realk quality around him.
Should definitely be part of the squad next year though and not lent out.Same with Courtois although keepers tend to need more playing time to improve so another year for him might be best.
I think 30m is a bit ambitious! Both players have recently extended their contracts to 5 years and have stated they are happy. Probably standard tabloid drivel. If i was Di Matteo i would be moe focussed on finding a decent winger... Mata looks like a better player when he plays in the Silva role just behind the front line and i dont think Malouda has the pace he had a few seasons ago.
No to both. Courtois has been fantastic for Atletico Madrid, particularly given has age so it should be a given that he will deputise for Cech, and the money for Tiote could be much better spent elsewhere. I really want to know who is responsible for these targets... we should not be looking at signing anybody without having a new manager in place and even then they should not have anything to do with identifying transfer targets. Stupid
Heard a few people talking about wanting Robben to come back, don't think Robben is the answer too injury prone and has never been able to put in a full shift, but he's defo the type of player we are crying out for, i'd like to see Adam Johnson come to the Bridge he's got good pace and think he could accomadate Torres very well, and comes up with a few goals too, however can't realy see Citeh leting him go, Also it could be agood time to cash in on Ashley Cole, if this was to happen i would'nt mind bringing in Leighton Baines of Everton think he's a good solid player who likes to get forward not to dissimilar to Cole, and i dont think he'd cost a fortune
I'll reserve judgement until Monday at the earliest as we have a couple of tough tests coming up, but at the moment I am happy with the way things are...it's good to have an old boy at the helm.
