Just found this article and it strikes me as odd that the only major prices they quote are Newcastle, Sunderland and Arsenal. http://www.shieldsgazette.com/news/...sunderland-on-premier-league-prices-1-6896300 ------------------ NEWCASTLE United have come out on top in the battle of which Premier League side offers the cheapest match day experience. The BBCâs Price of Football survey found that the Black Cats offer supporters the ninth cheapest season tickets in the division, priced at £400, although the Magpiesâ cheapest is £525. The Wearsiders also have the fourth lowest most expensive season ticket, at £550, compared to a whopping £1,955 to see FA Cup holders Arsenal. But rivals Newcastle United offer the Premier Leagueâs cheapest match day tickets at just £15, with Sunderlandâs £10 more expensive. It means that the Magpies came out on top for the cheapest match day out, calculated at just £23.20, compared to Sunderlandâs £33.20. The average for the division is £37.44. ----------------- (I only posted the early bit of the article) So let me get this straight - Newcastles cheapest season ticket is £525 (average around £27 per game) but their cheapest match day ticket is only £15????? Guess this proves that the geordies are simply thick? The article makes no sense. If I was a season ticket holder with the cheapest season ticket, I would complain like hell if every home game was accessible for £12 less than my ticket on average costs. Have they been "selective" with their ticket selections or what or are the geordies really that thick as to buy ntheir season tickets at £525 instead of individual matches at £15 (less than £300 per season!)
I can't remember the last time we had league tickets selling for £15. Maybe every now and then? Anyway, our football is ****e at the moment, even £15 is too much <embarrassed>
£1,955 What is the world coming to? When was the last time Arsenal won a massive game at the Emirates and the crowd went mental? What a load of crap, two grand to watch your team smashed out of every competition at the end of March, every year.
I love this. Mags always going on about giving tickets away...... 100,000 on the waiting list for season tickets like tha nars!
Total codswallop, an adult a junior package works out at £22.36 per match combined so the u16 goes for £1.31 per game
Hope it's getting slated on twitter as the Shields Gazzete doesn't even have a comments section in their website. £10 is less than £13 where I come from, £25 is less than £27, £370 is less than £525. It's just Jackanory, we're cheaper in every way. And offer a better standard of football.
