Comments (0) FORMER Swansea City youth boss Tony Pennock is to take up a similar role at Premier League rivals Hull City. Pennock left home-city club Swansea last November after five years at the top of the Liberty youth set-up. The 42-year-old oversaw the introduction of an academy at Swansea, and helped bring through the likes of Ben Davies, Jazz Richards and David Cornell. But he left Swansea shortly after Pep Clotet - who is now working with the first time - was appointed academy consultant in SA1. Former goalkeeper Pennock confirmed on his Twitter page that he is to join Hull. He wrote: "Thanks to all my family & friends who have supported & encouraged me,not only over the last 3 difficult months but also years gone by!!! "A new chapter begins tomorrow at Hull City Tigers FC. Looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead!" Hull City Tigers FC? **** off!!!!
The whole youth set up was awful and corrupt anyways. We rarely brought anybody decent through. Probably too many back handers here and there for so-and-so's son to be in the team.
Minus the Hull City Tigers FC propaganda insert, sounds interesting. He oversaw the academy set up there, one must wonder whether he is being asked to do the same here.
oh big ****ing deal, he got our clubs name slightly wrong. some of you lot need to grow up. good luck to the guy.
Aye, he's a new employee do you want to piss the boss off before you even start!! Its not like he can retire if he gets the sack is it. He'll be on what 30 grand a year??
It's probably not his fault, but we shouldn't have a situation where new employees are scared into pushing Allam's stupid agenda.
Dont be stupid mate. I think Kingston Communications is a **** name. Hull Telephones was a great name and their colour was yellow and black not ****ty grey and blue but if you want to get on your not going to say that to the MD are you.
What are you talking about. He's done absolute wonders with resources available. Some of the brightest young talent this club has seen in years graduated from arguably his most successful youth team last season. Sadly I suspect other clubs will continue to snap up our best young pro's as we still seem be a club loath to blood them enough when move upto the development squad/reserve's.
That's what I was coming in to mention. I think he's employed by the company, so he's entirely within his right to refer to it as such.
