    I know, I have just never enjoyed it. It has now become my thing to be grumpy about it. I am fun for the rest of the year. Last night was my new year. I keep thinking I am still able for the big sessions.......not any more.

    I can't be arsed with it any more. The idea of drinking till silly o'clock, paying double-bubble for a cab home and spending the rest of the day trying to sleep off a hangover no longer appeals. I'll probably just have a quiet **** instead.

    I particularly used to enjoy being unable to get served because the once a year merchants were 4 deep at every bar ordering Bacardi Breezers, BabyChams, and Rum and Cokes.

    It's the faux-joy at midnight that bemuses me. Why does the beginning of a new calendar year make people happy. And all the sad twats bleating on to the tune of "New year, new beginning for me. Gonna get my life sorted etc" <doh>

    I will be celebrating Fenland new year the weekend of 14th-15th January at the Whittlesey Straw Bear Festival - real ale, real folk music and real folk dancing though I shall only be watching the latter.

    Yep - people that ignore you all ****ing year wishing you happy New Year. I have a list of people whom i would quite like to die on 31 December and i will be ecstatic if any of them actually do so.

    3 jobs in 2 years, i`ll try not to get made redundant or fired this time....My career at MacDonalds also went pear shaped after "the incident" i spent 2 weeks on balloon detail then let go....<wah><wah>
