Well been a roller coaster of a ride last 2 years. SO what would your main New years wish's be? Lets say... for sport.... On a personal note ..... State of the nation ..... [ not necessarily Covid go away ]
In the sporting context ... the cruel bit ... hope Derby go down! England [ UK teams ] teams do well. City squad get act together and this time in a year we are posting about chances of winning the division!
State of the nation ... we are in good hands, OK a lot of negativity generated by the opposition, and lib undems thinking their time has come and they will be sitting in the .gov benches in 3 years time!!!! the mini stockmarket collapse at start of December has recovered about 40% of its losses.. BOE is on the ball and our vaccination programme has resulted in us being in a forward gear trading wise. I am hoping more incentive is given to encouraging people to work as opposed to scrounging from the state and food banks. The immigration problem [illegal] needs a sterner hand, immigrants should not expect to be elevated to better housing / income than real uk citizens can get. They should expect to be housed in camps and supervised to work. With a payment toward their keep part of the deal. Every city can boast areas where illegal or [ if there is such a thing ] legal immigrants live and income is mostly scrounged or black market........... this should be addressed. We need to do as much as possible to help get rid of pollution, one area in Wales is particularly bad a certain M4 junction north of Cardiff, and the river leading toward it [ and other rivers down the valley ]. I used to enjoy walks along some of these rivers, but over the past 2 or 3 decades they have become filters for all manner of plastics and rubbish. I am so glad it has not spread even further North and west, beyond the heads of valley roads where the beauty of Wales is still almost untainted. i shudder to think how the rest of UK would look if that became the norm! when walking I always wear a rucksack and carry a couple of carrier bags disposable [ recycleable, they make roads from them now ] it would be great to get 1p a can for a recycled one! Last place I went to that did that closed about 7 +years ago still collects cans! but doesnt pay........
