What you all doing? I’m not a fan of the whole thing. We’ll watch a movie with the kids, eat a haggis and I’ll drink some wine and bubbly. Will probably let the kids stay up to midnight.
Not a fan of it will enjoy New Year's Day more and have plans to go out. We'll have a nice meal and some good wine in New Year's Eve but will stay in.
Been invited to a party with people from work, but it's miles away, way out in hillbilly land. I agreed to go. But after speaking to my lifelong best mate yesterday, he reckons it's a bad idea. He knows me better than anyone on this planet,, work mates, booze, miles away. So i'm in 2 minds.
We will go to friends for a house party as the hosts birthday is New Year’s Day, so a combined NYE / Birthday party. If we didn’t do that, it would be a quiet night in as I refuse to pay to go into any pub!!
Not too long ago NYE would be playing a gig and I'd be up to the gills in MDMA, Coke, Spliffs, Rum and whatever goes. Then onto phase 2 after party and eventually carrying on round at somebody's house with some decks and some nice bass bins. These days, I'll be reading my little un a story in bed around 8pm and then probs have a drink before turning in. I'd rather be up early for a surf or a bike ride than on a 3 day bender and then a week long comedown.
NYE isn’t my thing. Pubs full of amateurs and rammed. Restaurants heaving. Only decent night is a house party imo.
Love NYE. Don’t know why people are so negative. Big gang of us in Godney, going for a psychedelic walk up to the Tor. Brought some truffles back from Dam. Big boozy dinner in local pub followed by afterparty at house when pub shuts at 2. Pork lab and Beef Wellington in the house for NYd

Can’t be arsed. I tried desperately not to drink too much this month and failed miserably. As per I can’t be bothered to drink anymore booze.
Round the corner to some friends of ours. Four pairs, + all the kids. Three of the blokes are coaches of our U10's. It's chilli, 3 bean chilli, etc.etc. We did it at ours last year with Thai food, was good. Gonna go pescatarian for January then, need to sort my diet after all the Christmas ****e. Today's ribeye was far from ****e mind.

I'm doing a night shift tonight, 11.00pm - 07.00 am, putting drunks on trains. I'm anticipating carnage. Might as well be earning, as I've never liked New Years.
