Apparently PFC are getting a shiny new website sometime this month I believe, anyone heard when this may be happening?
I think it will be in place within the next 14 days(ish) - but definitely this month. Apparently we are the only club in England with a website that doesn't generate any income at all and the new one will. It will also have a facility like Pompey player where we can subscribe and get all the games broadcast. No other clues been given away yet though.
It depends who they are using - it may well be Express FM for radio broadcast. They may have video highlights of the games, all the sites linked into the BBC do. I subscribed last season to Cherries player and listened to the broadcasts from whoever the opposition was - that was quite amusing when we were winning, but pretty miserable when we were losing.
And it's not great. I think it's not finished, at least I hope it isn't. There's not even a Portsmouth Ladies section at all, wtf?
Hmmmm.... well the new ebsite is less flash heavy than the last one - but its still not a great improvement. As a web designer, I can see a hell of a lot wrong with it. I find it ironic that I messaged Micah Hall offering my web knowledge and services to our community club and didn't even get a response. Shame - because I would have done it completely differently. P.S: I would like to say this is the first think I have complained about regarding Pompey for a while......is there something wrong with me? Doctor Devo?
So far, sorry, don't like it. All bells and whistles but little substance. But then I like clean-lines and minimalist. Far too much like too many other clubs' sites. Going to ask about the Ladies team info as well. And.......... why the hell is there a photo of Ryan Giggs and other PL players on the home page?
If you're referring to what I think you are, that's an article about the capital one cup and in the pic, there's a bunch of players standing next to the cup. So it's relevant ish but not the pic I would have chosen. Far too much white though
Apparently it's an FLI site - hence the Pompey Player, and will earn the club money, not to be sniffed at, but that's why it looks the same as everyone else's.
