The new u21 super league as such kicks off in Manchester today. It's a shame we didn't have the level required to be in it. Looking at some of the other teams in it, it just goes to show how much neglect has been shown to our youth set up and infrastructure by previous owners. And I include Chris Wright in that as well..
Could have sworn I spotted Ehmer or Doughty going on about the experience of playing in the U21 league after signing their deal recently, or did I just make that bit up?!? - at the time I thought it strange, as didnt think we were in it...I am guessing we are participating in some other U21 league!? Unless of course I have made all of that up, in which case...move along...nothing to see here...move along, move along...
You're haven't gone crazy, we're just in the second tier. We play Charlton away this week, then at home(Loftus road) next Friday v Millwall Don't know the other teams and fixtures, we're in some lower southern section division or something. It's just when you see the likes of Watford and palace up there with the big boys it makes you wonder why we didn't have a strong youth set up.....
