I read it is up for sale priced around £25M so there's no way we could buy it,also haven't facilities at Marlow Road been upgraded at substantial cost?

When I went to Wembley I was sat near a Sunderland supporter who was working on Wycombe's "new" training ground. So I doubt we would be buying another one. Unless Rob is thinking of selling off Adams Park and ground sharing. Can't imagine that unless Rob was making a quick killing and fuccking off. Surely not

On BBC Sport Wycombe added in their own statement the parties are moving forward on an exclusive basis with the expectation of completion.
In the interrim Wycombe hopes if the transaction completes it will provide Reading with the neccesary financial support to ensure that they are able to meet their ongoing financial obligations.
In other words it looks like if the owners don't sell it could well be league 2 next year

Well it looks imminent and a possible bargain. Valued at £50m and getting it for £20-25m

Reading fans upset and worried ""We’re calling on all Reading fans to gather tomorrow night (Friday) at 6pm outside Adams Park for a peaceful protest – and we’d invite all Wycombe fans who don’t want their club to become known as the new MK Dons to stand with us – because football has an ownership problem."

"Wycombe, which currently does not have its own training facility, has been searching for one since being priced out of a deal to buy the Marlow Road site they lease from a three-man consortium. The club has trained off-site on local 4G pitches when the Marlow facility has been flooded. Now, with the opportunity to move into Reading’s Bearwood Park training base during the summer, Wycombe hopes to secure a new home for their training needs."

So what was all the develpoment work being done on their training ground. Did that go tits up?

All very interesting, I wouldn’t mind it and don’t see that it makes us the new MK dons, we want a training ground and if Reading don’t do something they will go under. We had to get rid of our development squad and have only just started that again with the b team. However where is the money coming from and as Ron said what happened to all the development work already done.

The purchase is expected to be funded in part or whole by Mikheil Lomtadze, a former private equity investor from Georgia who generated revenues of $2.9 billion in 2022 and was confirmed by chairman Rob Couhig last month to be entering into a new partnership with the club.

It is also believed that if the sale of the training ground did not go ahead this month, Reading would be likely to go out of business.

I also didn't see the Reading fans being bothered when we had s*** owners which let's be honest we escaped by the skin of our teeth (Torquay are being deducted another 10 pts in National league south) also didn't see them being concerned when Derby shafted us as well. Could it happen to us again of course it bloody well could.

So would we pay rent to him? If he does buy it it certainly shows a commitment to the club.

It also makes worth more money, the thing is we do know the ground is tied up. With the Reading situation my reading of it is the same as Ron if they don't sell, League 2 or National League is almost inevitable, with their supporters just being able to stand by & watch the car crash happen

Training ground looks a no go with only Reading allowed to use it, will be interesting to see if Reading have a team to use it in the near future.

Well that seems to be over now and I must admit the majority of Reading fans have come across badly. As far as I’m aware all Wycombe did was enter discussions and we turned out to be the bad guys who destroy a club’s legacy. I think we can all agree that is the owners fault.

We will find out if they get any more pts deductions, as I said earlier Reading supporters were very quiet when we had to sell our training ground & we had crap owners. It's all right till it affects your club

Apparently, it's not completely over but I suspect that will be the end of it. Depends how much the 2 owners want it. The council would probably be prepared to remove their restricton but I think there is more to the backing out than that restriction. So, if that is true, it is as good as dead
