Barclays Premier League matches at Emirates Stadium will be regraded into âAâ, âBâ and âCâ categories, which will create approximately 90,000 lower-priced matchday tickets for non season-ticket holders across the season. Ticket prices in the âCâ category matches will be on average 28 per cent lower than last seasonâs equivalent matches. For example, a match ticket in the North Bank Lower for the Premier League home match against Sunderland on Saturday August 18 will now be priced at £25.50, compared to £35.00 last season. Also as part of the ticketing policy changes, member sale prices for âAâ category matches, where demand for tickets is highest, have increased on average by 23 per cent from last season. For example, a match ticket in the North Bank Lower for the Premier League home match against Chelsea on Saturday September 29 will be priced at £62.00, compared to £51.00 last season. The lowest priced matchday ticket for next season will be £25.50 for a âCâ category match, with the highest priced ticket for next season being £126 for an âAâ category match. This top price ticket only represents approximately 1 per cent on average of available tickets in âAâ category matches. === What are your thoughts folks? Sounds like they're trying to keep the Stadium full against the lower teams, knowing the top matches will sell out.
In effect all Arsenal are doing is giving with one hand but taking with the other. It will be interesting to see the prices for cat "B games
Still, watching the Arsenal for just £22.50 is remarkably good. Given that the majority of our tickets were already cheaper than Spurs, Liverpool etc. it will be interesting how the media report this. Probably makes us the the best value for money ticket prices in the country (outside of Manchester).
I have been reading a couple of blogs and the overall view seem to be that people who attend games regularly will be better off but those who only want to see the so called big games will be ****ed
The rumour seems to be that next season there will be :- 5 Cat "A" games 7 Cat "B" games 7Cat "C" games Based on last season's prices and sitting in either the North Bank or Clock End lower and attending all 19 home PL games it would have you cost you :- 5 cat "A" games @ £51 = £255 14 cat "B" games at @35=£49 A total of £745 The rumour is cat "B" games will increase by 2% meaning it will cost £35.50 to sit in the NB or CE lower This means that next season it will cost to attend all 19 home games :- 5 cat "A" games @£62 = £310 7 cat "B" games @£35.50 = £248,50 7 cat "C" games @£25.50 = £178.50 A total of £737 This means that it will cost you £8 less to watch Arsenal next season. When you consider inflation is approx 3 % the price cut is nearer £19 than £8.In effect Arsenal have cut admission prices by £1 a game and should be applauded for doing so
I'm considering boycotting Arsenal away this year. Love London aways but I can't justify spending £62 on a match ticket, especially when it's on TV
