Ahead of our centenary year a special "centenary crest" has been created, along with a new 3rd kit; and I have to say I like it!

Not a big fan of the orange away kit, will wait for the new home kit before I buy anything.

They've just gone as Welsh as they can! It reminds me of the kits I used to make for Wales on really early football games when I was a kit (ISS Deluxe, anyone?).

Badge is awful but the shirt is an improvement without the white panel. Dont see why they couldn't use the current logo in black which stands out well with orange and just incorperate the centennial dates into it

I like the kit and the badge. I am sure they will revert back to the current badge next season as it is an established branding/logo

Not sure on the kids strip... the current kit (with no advertising at all because of the betting link) looks great on the kids. Let the kit stand alone

PS has anyone else noticed 'The Jacks' embroidered on the back collar... tidy!

    Was it Leigh Dineens project?

Great, professional looking kit but the badge could have been better(black & white badge?) for our centenary season.

Merchandise and clothing improving all the time but I'd like to see a gold and black third kit in there for the centenary year.

Like it but a quick glance it looks similar to the liverpool's badge ,the kids top looks too fussy ,either decrease the size of 1912 or remove it in it's entirety . But hi ho another expensive outlay

bonymaen, you stole my thunder. that kids kit looks like we have borrowed a kit from Liverpool. Badge is almost identical. liking the badge even less now i am seeing it close up.

Do like the keepers kit. My son being a Keeper is definately going to want that.

The badge seems like it's been deigned to co-opt the colors of its application, but personally I think this is a bad idea. If not policed properly it can lead to some hideous renderings. Vorm's shirt and the red shirt are examples of bad usage where the colors are wrong IMO on Vorm's and it gets lost on the red shirt.

Our standard logo is very good in that it's a contemporary design that is somewhat timeless and looks good in black or white, and looks good on TV in particular - it's simple and memorable when flashed as a sequence, which is what happens during the Prem League promos and intros to match coverage over here.

The centenary logo has got away from that design. Instead of adding a centenary extension they've completely lost the contemporary look of the swan.

As i see it being used, not a fan of the new crest and I don't see why we've felt the need to go "Welsh" as one person stated above on a third kit. Why do we need a third kit. Woud rather have seen some subtle stylish embellshments to our main kit. That 32Red could go of example - for not be so damn big.

Like the kit but not the badge. I'm repeating myself but why does it need "CENTENARY" on it. Are we all stupid?!? And those that are stupid surely don't know what centenary means anyway. It looks like the old fuddy-duddy's (i.e. people who like ornaments/dust gatherers and cushions/annoying space-takers) have got together with their grandkids to draw something 'prestigious' but overruled the grandkids and ended up with a badge that strips away all modernity. I don't think we paid a design consultancy for it put it that way.

Arsenal's centenary badge a few years ago was pretty much their current crest with some fern's around it.

Agree Master. Our "centenary" logo looks like an "Old Boys" school badge - if we paid a design firm for that I dread to think what the comps we rejected look like. What happens after this coming season - do we switch back to our standard logo - with this centenary design we've lost brand continuity. Also the Liberty is adorned with our standard crest, do we go through the expense of swapping that out for a season. Master's example with Arsenal is a good example of a temporary embellishment without compromising or losing the core brand and preserves continuity.

On reflection I think we've made a big mistake here - whoever did this did not take the spectrum of media applications into account. Kit aside, the crest is just poor corporate / brand design, aesthetically, strategically, and applications wise.

the one we got now is the one we are all use to and not many liked that one when it first came out ...it looked unprofessional at the time that a child had drawn in a school compitition....we will get use to the latest badge as we always have done throughout all the changes that have been made over 100 years....

Why couldnt the swan in the cenyenary badge be the one we have on our current shirt. Then we have incorporated what we have now into the centenary badge.
