Sorry, I know there was a thread on the new strip and I looked back but couldn't find it.

I am glad that the club has returned to stripes.

I've just been watching Tigers Player and I saw the big black blob on the sleeves? I'm not a fashionable guy but even I can see that it's hideous.

    What's the justification?

Its a black piece of material that is velcro on, at the start of the season it will be removed to display the 'Hull City Tigers' motif.

or it could be where the 'Premier League' motif goes.

What I don't get is the marketing team getting City to wear the new away kit in Portugal to showcase it to people, and then there wasn't any pictures from either game, other than a couple of distant fan pics.

As for the arm blobs/bat wings - I thought/hoped it would grow on me, but they stand out like a sore thumb. The rest of the shirt is great though. The arm bits look OK in action, but stood still they look odd.

I showed my step daughter our new shirt. She said the black blobs split up the colours well!

I showed her the Southend shirt. She admitted it was a lot better!

It's a shame about the black bits on the sleeves, but at least if anyone dies, we're ready.

Peter, I agree the Southend shirt is much nicer design wise. However, having bought mine recently I am happy to be wearing the stripes again. So Phil Brown is back to using our colours again. You were never the trendy fasionista type anyway but well done for spotting the minor fasion faux pas.

I thought "Hull City Tigers" was the commercial brand and "Hull City" was the playing side?
