where is this elusive striker going to come from we seem to miss out on targets and we seem to be running out of options, i cant really think of one now who would do a job for us, though im sure there is someone out there who i havent thought of at least i hope so but im sure warnock has got a good idea who will fill the role

Title of your thread should be plural. IMO

Other than Taarnished, wonder who pops 'em in most in training? Helguson? Smith? Mackie? Hewitt? Moen? Vine? Hulse?

I reckon using Jamie as out and out striker could pay dividends...

Also, sometimes when you're short of strikers, a centre back steps up to the mark. Remember Warboys at (was it) Blackburn? Scored a shed full... Go on Matty get stuck in boy!!

    See? Glass half full already!

Very true, and like Mackie, always gives 100%. We're fortunate in that respect.

We agreed last week that Big Dan will get a renewed contract and shift to an up front role. Don't get greedy and expect another new striker.

Somehow I doubt it. He runs around alot, but I really can't see him as a Premier League striker. I would not doubt his work rate and desire but I don't think he has the composure. He always seemed to snatch at a lot of his chances.

3 defenders, 2 midfield & 2 strikers by my reckoning - seem to be heading for a long season at the moment.

That is one hilarious but worrying vision Brixton :emoticon-0111-blush - some names till not ruled out or considered yet? - Johnson (Fulham), Roberts (Blackburn), Beattie (Stoke?), Maynard (Bristol City), Crouch (Spurs)

Yes, that would be my assessment too.

    Fingers crossed for Bothroyd then.

I am hoping that something wll be done with Nicky Maynard which might involve Dave going back to Bristol where he was on loan last year
