Nos in brackets are mine.

Hopefully it will build up again once we get started. Hope we win our first match convincingly.

pre season always brings the numbers down on these forums, not worth worrying about really!! as for this new striker, on paper it sounds like a decent deal but abit of a gamble if, despite scoring well last season, its taken him this long to get snapped up... well done to gaz though, we needed a striker!

on another note, is danny foster still involved in the club? he was offered a new deal, surely he doesn't think he can get better elsewhere? <laugh>

We have been better this pre-season the numbers have stayed high which is strange. Lots of nonsense threads but that'mainly down to me so can't complain.

I think it is very much a wait and see with the new striker! It doesn't look amazing on paper and based on our last striker from the Scottish league (John Sutton) being a regular scorer for a number of years in the SPL but a complete flop for us I will not get carried away. However the guy will need a chance and we should definitely get behind him!

I vaguely remember Foster holding out for a 2 year deal (successfully) last time his contract was up. Personally I do not rate the guy but his versatility can come in handy.

that rings a bell actually if hes trying the same trick this time I wouldn't let him, nice enough guy and versatile across the defence but our defence is overcrowded as it is

I think he might be just what we need to score the scrappy goals and win knock downs for our pacey players, hopefully give some experience to McClure as well.

I make it we have 25 players (not including Foster) and I think GA said we were going to have 26 - who do you want to fill the last spot? Foster? I would go for another winger as I think we are covered everywhere else pretty well.

definatly not foster for the last spot, we could do with another winger as we only really have 2 (cowen-hall and wood) with a few others that could cover

A winger with pace to burn would be handy. Always causes problems for defences.

I agree we should let Foster go,too slow and gives the ball away too often and we've enough players covering that position. Also agree we need another winger but they are hard to find.
