Well, the pool of top strikers available is rapidly diminishing with Lewandowski off to Bayern and Neymar to Barca. Falcao being strongly linked with Monaco, although any player going there is clearly only interested in money as they will not be a trophy winning side in the foreseeable future. I hope we give Lukaku a chance and Torres has maybe earned another chance with his end of season form. Ba has been very disappointing and I don't see him staying tbh. The pool of available talent is definitely getting smaller so lets sort this out quickly before everyone is gone.
My choice all along has been Cavani (Lewandowski unrealistic now), IMO perfect for our system. One good thing about Benitez going to Napoli is he may want to take Torres with him, if that happens it most certainly puts us in the driving seat. I want Torres and Ba sold. Preferably Lukaku and Chalobah to be promoted. Jose to take Modric with him and if none of the top 5 are unavailable, someone like Gomez

Mario Gomez would be a great buy could probably get him for 20 million especially now he seems out of favour (due to injury) at Bayern.
Brings a tear to the eye. Had that midfield played in Moscow (as it should have) we'd have easily won the CL that year. Best midfield in the world at the time.
Without doubt. At that time our midfield was king. I miss the days when our midfield use to boss things. Then we had Joe Cole and Duff/Robben out wide up front with Drog in the centre. Awesome side! Would still take Modric now....I still say dump Ba and Torres, sign a new striker and play him up front with Lukaku.
Amazing player Lukaku, i think he needs to be a regular player to get the most out of his future potential though so if hes not going out on loan i think Torres needs to go.
My signings this window would be... Cavani Gundogan (the Dortmund fella) Schurlle I want Luke Shaw here but I think he is too young atm.. Give him a couple more seasons
Use Torres as a makeweight for Cavani Shaw would be brilliant, I say buy and loan back for two years. We can get by with Cole/Bertrand for the 13/14 season then let Bertrand/Van Aanholt compete for the spot in 14/15 with the better of the two competing with Shaw in 15/16
I would love Gundogan personally, think he's the best DM on the planet. In terms of a forward I would get rid of Torres and Ba and get Rooney and keep Romelu. If we get Schurrle he can also play up top.
I think Ba has gone backwards as Torres has gone forwards. Torres is also doing a lot of good work off the ball, and I can see him becoming an important player especially when we can get our midfield to stop lobbing high balls to him. Schurrl (not sure of spelling, Lukaku and Torres will do me, with Chalobah and De bruyne back, plus a midfielder with vision and a passing game. Maybe Modric?? Add 2 CDs and we're there.
We need a deep lying striker who can be more fluent with our midfield - Rooney springs to mind. Sell Ba. Bring in Lukaku. One more season for Nando.
