    Not Evans.

So who do we think it is, and has anyone any evidence ?

The Ipswich guy who knew about Chopra put on another post he's sure its Sharp.

    Marco Holster <ok>

I had a chat with PJ last night after the Cambridge game and although he didn't name names I think he has gone back to Donny for Sharp. It was good to know that my post about Whittingham turned out to be true although we didn't get him!

I'm not sure if I want Sharp now that we have Chopra. They seem to similar. I think I would rather make do with Scotland or Ellington as Chopra's partner and concentrate on other areas, especially as Sharp will cost £3M+.

Although I suppose it's good to have a backup should Chopra get addicted to the penny machines at Felixstowe sea front.

I dunno, I'm probably just reading into things but...this story comes out today: http://www.twtd.co.uk/news.php?storyid=18785&title=jewell_makes_new_striker_bid

and the BBC have put this: BREAKING FOOTBALL - Rangers tell BBC Scotland they will not make an increased bid to bring Kenny Miller back to Ibrox after Bursaspor rejected their £400,000 offer for the striker. The offer matches what Bursaspor paid for Miller in January but the Turks are seeking substantially more in order to buy a replacement and say they have received a higher bid from another British club for the unsettled player.

Very unlikely and they do say it may be Cardiff as they were interested, but you never know, PJ loves to keep his cards close to his chest so...What do you think?

If Sharp is the one we really want why dont we just go and get him? We are loaded with cash from the CW transfer, a player who cost ME absolutely strap all so its a winner every way you look at it. So if we are sure about Sharp for christ sake stop sodding around and go and GET HIM.

Not sure to believe it or not but think it's a prem striker - heard through very close sources that the bid is for shola ameobi.
PJ wants a tall target man to play alongside Chopra.

Shola Ameobi may be in the Premiership but he's not a Premiership striker because he's ****ing toilet.

I hope, no expect this not to be true.

" - heard through very close sources that the bid is for shola ameobi. "

What are these " very close sources?? "

Newcastle have sod all strikers as it is, also Ameobi is on around £40,000 a week there if not more ( they love paying players a fortune ) so don't see how this would be possible to be honest.
