Has our request to play a few away games at the beginning of the season been answered? Apologies if I missed it.

If they'd said "No.", you'd not have to ask. The Standard would have printed a commemorative issue. 12 page pull-out, front and back pages with calls for knighthoods for the decision makers.

Tom Comatose would be beside himself

Well if he's going to expel so much of his DNA in a short space of time it should legally be defined as human cloning...

It looks like this afternoon will see some serious amounts of concrete to be poured on the podium behind the South Stand. Lots of labour out there today in the sunshine. They've done a lot of pours at night previously...and the roof is still on the up.

i wonder how easy it would be to sneak in and have a kick around just so that you could say "i was the first person to play there"

I think that there's still work going on below ground for the hotel. If you make it in, you might not make it home again. I like your 'derring do', though.

Actually me and another climbed the walls where the old five-a-side court was... I was doing my Errol Flynn thing!

I remember a bloke ringing up the BBC when Danny Baker used to do 606. Back in the 90's, he and a mate mocked up some ID's from a club, it was either West Brom or Wolves, and they'd fax to clubs that they were coming to watch a game. The club would make provision for them, give them excellent seats, provide refreshments and at Spurs, they sent David Pleat to chat with them all evening.

They never got pulled on it and it worked for years. Clever.....
