Thanks for the reminder ...

Was at new WHL on saturday.

The roof ring was nearly complete.
One steel section to put in on the SW side,
three sections to put in on the SE side.

However judging by the support structures etc, there is
still a lot of empty space in the SE/SW sides to fill in.
From this I suspect that putting up the roof is behind
schedule.

There was also some curved arch framework up on
the centre of the west stand (is that for a walkway ?? ) .

On another site [Skyscraper City] it is being suggested that the sponsorship of the new stadium is sorted. It's coming from a source that is very reliable and a very feasible person to come into such news. Unfortunately, that's it as he's being very coy about it.

However, if as I suspect, he's likely to be telling the truth, it's one of the 2 biggest issues resolved. That and the roof were the main worries.

My money's on HSBC, Coca Cola or KFC. We always get someone with a ****ing red logo.

...
as can be seen from the top of the screen it looks like every beam has been installed and the roof ring is complete

As I said the other day, still a fair bit of empty space there
(support framework as I mentioned, probably more
concrete seating sections etc) that IMHO will have to be
put in before the roof lift proper can begin.

That is definitely the camera view now that is most
important now.

Another nice piece about the stadium and the NFL in The Standard. Again no other publication's carrying it, which suggests that they're still doing their penance for that "£1 billion stadium costs" piece.

Again, confirmation that the NFL want a London franchise from someone with some insight.

Locker rooms big enough for a 53 man NFL roster? I hope they have also built a tiny away dressing room like the old WHL. Fergie always complained that the away dressing room was too small to even put up a tactics board. We don't want to make the away dressing room too comfortable.

I went on the WHL tour a couple of years ago. Apparently, Chelsea was the only ground with a worse 'Away' dressing room.

With both the 'Home' and 'Away' dressing rooms being identical, does our recent form at Wembley suggest that it makes no difference? I don't know.
