Did the latest circuit of new WHL today. I have to say that the facade work on the west stand really makes the place look more like a stadium than a construction site. And the south stand, just wow. Standing there in Park Lane and it felt like the thing was almost in touching range the way it rears up.
Sensational new drone footage... Whoever is responsible for these is breaking various laws and could get into some serious trouble.....but they are great.
Fantastic views, the place looks really good. Quick question, why is he breaking the law, seems well below aviation height and is not really spying on people or sensitive subjects. I know nothing of drone law by the way
The Mail are really getting the hang of this accurate reporting thing. If anything, they're going off in the opposite direction. The stadium cost is falling rapidly. They reported that it was £1 billion. Then £800m. Now, it's £750m. By the time it's finished, it'll not be costing us anything. Still, nice pics. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tenhams-new-750m-stadium-continues-shape.html
It is part of a plan by the Fail. When they have got the cost of the stadium down a bit more they will say that we can and must now pay Harry £500,000 per week or he will be off
The club itself would've struggled to create footage like that a few years ago. Now some random bloke on the internet can do it. Impressive stuff. It's really starting to look like a stadium now, rather than a building site.
There's a website called Skyscrapercity that is a forum for all worldwide major construction projects......... http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=549397&page=2527 ......one of the blokes on there is a weekend pilot as well as an engineer and says that the CAA are getting red hot on this kind of thing and Spurs have published the demarcation points of their land and their intention to see anyone trespassing on or over it prosecuted to prevent further incursions. That was before this most recent film, so it hasn't worked so far. Beware that website....it can become addictive.
Ive been reading it for a while mate, brilliant website. Its great that you can go back to the early pages when the stadium design had just got published and reading through each building stage.
Mrs Brian has just said "I ****ing hate that website. I just don't care that much about the South Stand back plate fit." I've turned into a stadium build bore but I just can't help it. I'm addicted. I hope my marriage will survive it.
I'm sure she's just encouraging you to get on to the more interesting stuff like the removable pitch....
The first of the retractable pitch trays are being delivered right now....Mrs B not even slightly interested.
A second pitch tray has arrived behind the South Stand. Mrs B can scarcely contain her excitement... please log in to view this image
Think Mrs B has given up ! Brian must be the bloke pressing his nose up against the fence trying for a better look
This is the first pitch tray being moved under the South Stand. Okay, when it's full of earth and stuff, it might need a little more oomph to move it. please log in to view this image The area used to store the pitch in 'NFL mode' has a watering system and grow lamps. So, we're good to go on cannabis production for nearly the whole year when the law's changed.
If only they had some sort of fitting theme to accompany it as it made its way through the streets of London Here's my suggestion...
The Mail continue to do their penance.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/es...-London-Spitfire-play-Spurs-750m-stadium.html ...I'm increasingly certain that we're writing this stuff. £750m seems to be the figure that Spurs are authorising now.
