I think that it would be interesting and fitting if we could somehow incorporate both of his achievements into it. Is it just me or is it a little strange that we're still using that old bit of kit in such a high tech stadium? It wouldn't look out of place in Pathe News footage.

The club are planning to open the club shop this Saturday - and, yes, Chelsea fan George Osborne's Evening Standard still couldn't resist getting a dig in... Meanwhile, here's some stats
Is the ES in trouble ?? In Enfield. both Tesco and Sainsburys no longer have stands for the paper in their store fronts. And last saturday two Overground stations had not one copy in the stands.
Would now be a bad time to mention the Standard is published Monday to Friday? If anything City AM is probably the free daily that's in the most trouble, as the few stands near me that do carry it are at least half full during rush hour - that's the evening rush hour, not the morning one
There are normally excess copies of the friday edition still remaining over the weekend somewhere in Enfield. That said supermarkets no longer carry them and three station stands were all empty, is a first. Time will tell on whether this continues.
There's usually excess left over at East Croydon on a Friday as well. I've always assumed a lot of people skive work on Friday...
It's not just the Standard this happened with, though, as back when Metro was the only freebie there would be just as many left over on a Friday Although being Croydon, it wouldn't surprise me if they had No Reading Days...
The Mail have opined that the club have established a further credit facility of £100m. It's not backed up in the slightest (natch!). However, it is distinctly possible in the circumstances.. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...-cover-rising-costs-delayed-construction.html Between having to return season ticket and corporate hospitality income, renting Wembley at premium rates, pushing on with the external works beyond the original intentions, delays due to sub-standard wiring (even though they may compensated later) and likely overruns, it would be surprising if the project was still within budget right now. In fact DL has said that there will be additional costs in last week's THST meeting.. In such circumstances, the club would likely to arrange sufficient credit to see them through the worst of possible outcomes, so £100m maybe more than is actually required. This alleged extra borrowing, at this time, suggests that earlier claims of massive cost escalation were fictitious, as there has been no sniff of additional borrowing previously, to meet alleged cost escalation that The Mail have been claiming all year. Equally, it's just possible that this alleged additional borrowing might be to spend on transfers in advance of January............................
All sounds quite plausible. I estimate that the new stadium increases revenue by 70 to 100m per-year. That would make it pay back over 6 -10 years. Or if financed over 20 years it generates 30 to 60m extra cash each year
The last THFC accounts showed a loan facility for 400m quid. We will not know until June time how much of that was burnt down in the final construction of new WHL.
