A large part of the problem appears to be that, for years, Everton were set to build a new stadium in Kirkby - but then the Anfield Cuckoos announced plans to convert their academy complex that happens to be in Kirkby into a training complex for both the first team and academy, which no doubt derailed any hopes Everton had of building a new stadium in the area.
My season ticket pack thingy has been sent out, apparently. That's got to be a good sign, hasn't it? Maybe?
So here's a photo from inside the club shop, and it's hard to miss the not-Spurs merch in stock... please log in to view this image
Looks like a lot to do still. I know it won’t be properly compete for a long time after opening but still.
I saw this on SSC, comparing the Yellow Wall in Dortmund with our South Stand. The Dortmund seats are shown in yellow. It seems that ours has a few more rows of seats nearer the pitch and their has one or two more rows at the back. So, it's distinctly possible that in 'full seating mode', Tottenham Hotspur ST/\DIUM has the largest one tier stand in Europe... please log in to view this image That is all.
Lots and lots of real-life, true, interesting information on the new stadium here......so it's pretty unlikely to be reported (apart from the stuff about ticket pricing). http://www.thstofficial.com/thst-news/report-from-meeting-with-spurs-board-on-9-october
Surely the South Stand, considering his ashes are buried there? Also, this would imply a statue is in the works http://www.offbeat.group.shef.ac.uk/statues/STUK_Nicholson_Bill.htm At a guess it will have something to do with the Bill Nicholson Gates that will be erected outside the ST/\DIUM, most likely trying to recreate this please log in to view this image
TheDaily Mail continue to spout utter bollocks about the stadium... "Tottenham has provided no timeline for the opening, with the FA bailing out the club by granting the continued use of Wembley which has put an unexpected burden on the field." https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...-sale-temporary-home-Wembley-Shahid-Khan.html Spurs had a pre-existing contract to use Wembley as a contingency measure if the new stadium was not complete. I wonder if the Daily Mail consider that their employees are "bailing them out" when they turn up to fulfil their legal obligations under contracts of employment? I suspect not.
And to confirm the superior (or should that be Spurperior ?? ) pioneering nature of THFC, I would also like to see a statue of Walter Tull somewhere at new WHL.
