Of the many benefits to the 'Tottenham Hotspur ST/\DIUM' name is that it's so unobtrusive. The club have dropped hints about getting a number of key sponsors involved and having different aspects of the stadium sponsored by different sponsors and the stadium has a number of features that should be easy sells.... the retractable pitch - what vehicle manufacturer wouldn't want to have their name on that? Put it on a TV ad campaign, with your new model driving on it as it moves out? Should be an easy sell. The longest bar in the UK. Heineken should be all over this. I would reckon that it was pretty much in the contract to be the booze supplier. The South Stand.....the biggest single tier stand in Europe......should be a gimme The North Stand Sky Bridge.......has to be one of the most iconic places to sit in any stadium. The viewing platform on the South Stand The South Podium The one problem with selling those is if the stadium is called The Anusol Bowl' or 'MacDonalds Arena'. No huge product want to play second fiddle to another when they're spending millions of pounds....... The Audi pitch @ The Nike Stadium.........hmmmmm? The Heineken bar at 'Tottenham Hotspur ST/\DIUM'.........Sure, we love it. Not having Nike's name on it suits absolutely everyone, even Nike. If that's coincidence, I'd be staggered.
Dortmund's famous Yellow Wall is 25,000-odd when standing, but I can't find a seated figure anywhere. Their capacity drops from 81,360 with standing to 65,829 without, so they lose about 20%. Assuming that's consistent around the ground, then the 20,000 or so would on their single tier would still beat us, unfortunately.
They lose a much bigger percentage in that part of the stadium than elsewhere. I'm pretty sure that I've read that it's just us when both are in seating mode and you can see DL wanting that to be the case. Annoyingly, I can't find the source but I think it's true.I'll get back to you.
Yeah, I had a look too and I couldn't find anything vaguely substantial. Bits of speculation here and there, but that's about it. It would make sense if that area lost quite a bit of it's capacity, though.
Had never seen this about our Tottenham Marshes ground. No bloody surprise regarding the goons The first Spurs game reported by the local press took place on Tottenham Marshes on 6 October 1883 against Brownlow Rovers, which Spurs won 9–0.[51] It was at this ground that, in 1887, Spurs first played the team that would later become their arch rivals, Arsenal (then known as Royal Arsenal) leading 2–1 until the match was called off due to poor light after the away team arrived late
I noticed it on his twitter feed and he's doing another one on Sunday too. Top class bloke is Chris he is really living the dream.
He certainly doesn't understand the difference between the opinions of Harry Twatspur, and people like me, when it comes to discussing what it means for new WHL to be "ready" .
From today's staff orientation please log in to view this image What this appears to show is that the seats are further along than the wide shots of the stadium appear to show, because from the angle of the photo above you can see that the far stand actually has seats - although the question that needs asking is why most of them are greyish blue while there's a smattering of navy ones as seen closer to the camera. The likely scenario is either they're placeholder seats that are being replaced, or that's what the navy ones look like under their plastic covering (which goes against the club's ban on single-use plastic in the new st/\dium...)
