Great news! How many chairmen in world football would go for a pint with the fans?

Fair enough. But with more legroom I hope. I'm not too happy with the site. It's in NW10, so I believe. This will cancel out a lot of our West London credentials. We might as well rent Wembley. It's only a mile or so up the road. If anyone thought that Shepherds Bush was a ****ole, wait until they see Harlsden.

Nearer to Queens Park, HS rail, 19000 new homes to be built, all those new QPR fans could help fill the 40000 seats, bit of a walk though from your normal pubs, Harlsden will be fine

This is the news I have been longing for. I hope this isn't another case of jumping the gun.
Would it be the site between the Scrubs and Old Oak Common Lane?

It's nearer to where our original home was, it won't be a shytehole for long with the development plans they have for the area. I think we have nearly as many supporters from the northwest area as from the Bush, it's one of our strongholds. Remember the earlier plans for the Hillingdon area? Now that would have been wrong...

It might be a slight compromise with the NW10 thing but unless we are given some of the Scrubbs, where else?

Harlsden is a hell hole. My friend is out and about all over London, as has said that Harlsden is by far the worst area he's ever visited.

Its going to be part of the area thats going to be totally regenerated. A HS2 station, stadium plus houses and shopping.

Rail and tube access is great as well.

Harlesden is on the borders of W12 to be honest so I wouldn't worry too much about our credentials - it's a stones throw from Loftus Road. I lived there for a few years and Loftus Rd was really local. Anyway, hopefully by the time they've jazzed up that neck of the woods with all the transport links, it might even be half decent round there!!

Given that the alternatives seem to have been Hillingdon or Uxbridge Nines, I can live with NW10 (especially as I was born in that post code). Plus, its very satisfying getting this sorted and operating while Chelsea are still dicking around with their future.

I haven't really looked at where the potential site is compared to LR, but hopefully its a bracing walk.

Anyone who has taken the trouble to read the Old Oak Common regeneration proposal will, I hope, be getting as excited as I am at the prospect of QPR being part of that. A football stadium here would undoubtedly be the best connected in London once the infrastructure is complete and there is nowhere else so close to the city centre that you could even dream of siting it without a much bigger investment (assuming suitable land ever came up at all). And all of this within spitting distance of our current ground and our spiritual home in NW London and in a geographical gap in the London football map. I'm still amazed that the opportunity seems to be coming up in such a timely manner for us. Please, please act on it Tony.

I'm sure that site is only viable if HS2 goes ahead, it was part of one of the proposed plans for the site to have a stadium, if we go there it could be post 2020 before we are moving!

I agree with you that it would be great to be part of the redevelopment of the area BUT its with some sadness (if I read other reports correctly) that it won't be completed for another 30ish years.
I spose my kids and grand kids might get to see the finished article ( and I don't just mean the stadium) but shame I will be long in my box.
