    Stolen from facebook.

Newcastle have announced 3 new sponsors for next season, an oil company, a fashion outlet & an international delivery company. Their shirts will read

    TOTAL FCUK UPS

Old hat this joke, considering it's totally interchangeable. In any case, our current sponsor is funnier but I guess the irony of "Northern Rock" becoming the epitome of failure and instability is lost on you.

You'll have the last laugh when we have this on our ****ing shirts next season...

That and the Brown Ale badge. I don't think I've ever witnessed a better sponsor on a footy shirt. It felt cool to be wearing it!

Am I uber old fashioned to say I prefer the times when shirts didn't have sponsors? I know its a money thing, but I wish all shirts were still pure. I remember a time when top clubs (some of them) didn't even have badges on! Us, manure, etc. Sigh.............

Yep, me too, I'd be far more inclined to wear a shirt that wasn't sponsored. I can't stand garishly branded clothing. Why people walk round with "Henleys" or "Bench" wrote all over them in massive yellow writing is beyond me. The same goes for Northern Rock or Tombola or pretty much any sponsor you care to mention.

I wonder if shirt sales would increase to the point wear not having a sponsor would be justified.... Probably not like but I'd buy them more often.

We should get a discount for wearing an advert.
