Sorry if this has been covered recently.. So with the new kit being announced on the 30th June, one would assume that this would include the shirt sponsor, as i cant see them announcing the kit until the shirt sponsor is finalised.. Does this mean that aap3 will still be our shirt sponsors next year? Or do you think they will announce a new sponsor simultaneously with the new kit? I personally cant see the don staying with the same sponsor money as received in the championship, if it still is aap3 he must have negotiated more money but coming from, relatively speaking, a smaller firm I cant see us getting mega money off them. Anyone heard anything about any new deals?
I did seem to remember reading somewhere that it was a 3 year deal. What constitutes a "Main Club Sponsor"? Can there be separate/other shirt sponsors? What about a new stadium sponsor? The "P&O Cruises" St Marys Stadium maybe?
This is The Don we're talking about. No way would he have signed a contract without writing in a proviso about our possible promotion. He mentioned aap3 recently (can't remember context) so they are definately our shirt sponsors next season.
I just remember him talking about how it was good to support a local firm like them, got the impression money wasn't really the main factor, so it wouldn't surprise me if they are paying less than the going rate. Anyone know who's doing the IT for the new ticketing system?
I thought that too, it sounded like choosing the right company was more important than the money. I doubt Cortese will be selling out to an alcohol/gambling/pay-day loan firm any time soon. In fact, writing this prompted me to look at the shirt sponsors of Premier League clubs. According to Wiki, it's: 6 Gambling/betting 5 Financial/insurance 3 Airlines 3 Technology/Business 1 Real estate 1 Supermarket
ProVenueX is the system being used by Tickets.com http://uk.provenue.com/index.php/co...ith-championship-title-chasers-southampton-fc
All i know is i'd rather have aap3 than Jobsite. Still, it's probably what most of the staff at PFC will be needing in the near future...
Hopefully these guys can afford to sponsor two clubs http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~2818941,00.html
