Yeah I have an iPhone as well and to be honest haven't had anything like those issues.

When replying it normally takes me to the text box and works all fine. Only issue I have is the bloody autocorrect is mental as mentioned in other post but other than that, it's working fine on my iPhone.

Just tried highlighting some text and worked fine. Bolder that so it stays highlighted but if Itouch anywhere else on the screen it unhighlights it which is what you'd want.

Whe end I reply my writing area is at the bottom of the screen and is normaly size and is no different to when no replying to a direct post...

No idea why they would have the issues and not me to be honest... Have they tried going in via Google inseas and seeing if that makes any different?

This is the only response I've had to it so far, might be worth going through Google as IBWT says. If it doesn't make a difference it might be worth clearing your cache and then trying again,

Let me know how it goes. Oh and thanks to IBWT, he's [marginally] less useless than me :D :emoticon-0148-yes:

Thanks for that. I only understand about 80% of the advice but get the gist. He meant to try Google Chrome as a browser, right?

I'll keep plugging away and let you know if I see any changes.

Cheers for your efforts on this. I have no idea how to clear my cache, or even what this means, but hopefully my wife will. Thanks anyway.

The new site is definitely an enemy of the Peoples Republic of China.
I was there for the past 6 days, and the site was basically unusable due to the govt
Internet snooping having to analyse each and every URL on each and every page.

"Croydon's library system has similar issues with it."

There is always a time-honoured problem with web sites on what I call "poncey stuff" .
All the stuff that IMHO is not really important to the overall content of the site, but
increase the download time.

This week I was basically giving the pages a while to download, and when the page was
blank, killing the load. All the poncey stuff was not there, but the comments (the important
bit believe it or not) were.

This morning I hit the reply button, forgetting that it now means reply with quote. I wanted to just cancel that and start again, but couldn't find any way to do it.

Ah, if you do that press ctrl + A, it highlights the text and as soon as you start writing it removes the highlighted text, which in this case would be quicker than cancelling and then scrolling to the bottom for the quick reply box(I reckon it's quicker anyway).

Yeah, but I can't do that on an iPad...

Doesn't a long touch work like it does on Android?

That may have been the stupidest question I've asked this year.

Ok, the extended touch does work. But, you have to choose the right option. In the iPad's case, that seems to be "Cut"

I wasn't keen on the new site at first but gotta say it's growing on me now it's up to speed, seems a lot slicker visually too.
