Something I've noticed when on my phone: as I'm typing and I try to go back and correct something it seems easy for my clumsy fingers to somehow select and highlight a bunch of text as if I might want to copy/cut etc. only thing is that I can't then get it to deselect the text and I'm stuck. Normally just tapping on the text somewhere gets rid of the selection and you go back to a cursor so you can type. This doesn't seem to work any more.
Anyone have a clue what I'm on about or experienced it themselves? (User error is highly likely. I still hate bloody touch screens).

I like the "go to first unread post" links for each thread. They don't match up if you look at a thread on, say, your mobile and then go back to it on a computer though from what i can gather. Maybe it tracks it via cookies or something?
I echo Spurm, didn't realise what you meant by moving through the posts (thought you meant thread by thread or page by page) but now I see that it's good to know, thanks for pointing out.
Mine also match - I thought it was synced through your Not606 login though, not browser?
Alright so no comments on the highlighted text thing. How about this?
I keep getting loads of bloody emails telling me when someone has posted on threads I've posted on. I have gone into Alert preferences and unticked all the boxes in the "Messages in Threads" section. All of them. A couple of days ago. Still getting many emails from this site every day though!
Do these changes take a few days to register or something?

For the alerts:
Go to PREFERENCES (not 'Alert Preferences')
The first boxes under OPTIONS are:
- Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...
- and receive email notifications of replies
Untick the second one.

Oh! I hear another couple of emails! It must be someone telling me that...no - just not 606 again.

The other thing is that when I'm on my phone and highlight some text (almost always accidentally) it seems to be impossible to unhighlight it. That means I can't keep on typing. Guess I could just choose "copy" to get rid of the highlight and then just not press "paste" at any point. I'm using an iPhone.
TBH the whole site is a nightmare on my phone. If I want to reply to a post the text hides below the viewable screen. If I try to scroll down the bit of the screen not taken up by the address bar and keyboard is less than 1cm high. Whatever - I think you call that a first world problem.
The email thing is really annoying, though.
Thanks. I've got rid of that watched thread nonsense. It's been like getting junk mail in the post - such an anti-climax 
I think it's probably because the threads already on your watch list are still sending to your emails because that's what they were set up to do at the time. Try unticking both and clearing your watch list. If it stops the emails you can tick the "automatically add threads you've replied to to your watch list" again if you want to use that feature without the emails.
Ah! Yes of course - that is a very sensible idea. I'll try it out.
Luckily I knew you had sent me this advice cos both my phone and my desktop pinged at me - and that noise doesn't mean email to my brain any more - it means replies to threads I'm on on not 606.
