A server is incredibly slow combining all the posts into a thread.

"Quick post" doesn't update the page. EDIT: This is due to a slow response. It does update eventually.

It says I'm a new member! Ha!

You sure you want to allow uploads?!?

Jesus it is slow today. Not good on match day, they will have equalised before our celebrations are posted from going ahead

The upgrade arguably looks better on my phone than on my laptop (using Chrome on both).

Overall it seems functional however, the moving bar at the top of the page is... irritating to say the least (more noticeable with it changing shape)

So is there still a way that the site will show if there is a new post on a thread you've left a comment on?

And what about a button to take you to the first unread comment in a thread you've previously browsed?

Do I have to click on the thread tittle, load up the first page and then click on "go to first unread"?

Lenny from what I have discovered is that it will take you to the last post read on any thread you have been in.
Also you can tick boxes to say let me know if someone posts on a thread you have been in or started and you will get an email.
Hope that helps:D
Oh and these new emoticons are cool!

...but if anyone knows how to change the font that would be good to know.

Which font are you trying to change? The system is importing the Google font "Open Sans" having browsed the source code but the thread reply font is clearly a serif screen font so if you want to alter that, we'd need the change the class in the CSS. Let me know if you want my help as I'm at my desk all day.

The webpage can tell your browser which font to use or the webpage can use a default font. If it's using a default font, that default can be changed:

Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/settings-fonts-languages-and-pop-ups

Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95416?hl=en-GB

Failing that, like flaspur says, a little local hacking will be needed.

EDIT: I should add that many sites might use the default font. Changing the options may change ALL websites that use a default font.

"Null" and "New member" can be solved by changing your profile and saving.

A null entry means what was once in that database table is now gone. Most likely the upgrade didn't migrate all of the old data across to the new version correctly so you'll have to update that in your profile again.

The text in the posts is what I want to change.

On an individual level, I don't think this new version has any WYSIWYG font controls to change your individual post; unless you're talking about changing them globally? That would have to be done at source code level.

Anyone know if it is possible to change usernames now? Not that I plan to, but can't see how to. Or see anyone else's username history?

I'm getting emails about new posts in 'watched forums' but on clicking on 'watched forums' it appears that I'm not watching any. So how do I turn the emails off?

I'm not sure, but if you go to your settings and select Watched Forums, then it gives you the option to disable emails and alerts.
