With all the new signings we have made and also maybe making,What would your team be against Arsenal on Sunday. Are we going to start with the last team with the new faces on the bench or are we going to put 1 or 2 straight into the game from the off.I know all are new ,but Situ has been with us a few months,i would put him in to the starting 11 and maybe 2 new faces on the bench.Thoughts

Bold move TT. I think they need some reserve games first. Personally I'd be going:

    Vorm
    Rangel -- Caulker -- Williams -- Taylor
    Dyer -- Augustien -- Britton -- Sinclair
    Sigurdson
    Graham

    Bench - Situ, Allen, Monk, Moore/Lita, +1

+1 would be the keeper I hope.

I don't see Situ displacing any of the starting four (Rangel / Caulker / Williams / Taylor) at the back. He might displace Monk on the bench or step in if an injury occurs .... unless the kid is extra special.

Sig is a different matter. He is a mature player and was brought in with the intent of having an immediate impact. The issue then becomes who out of Agustien, Allen, Britton, Gower, Orlandi (I guess he's come into the mix now) and Sig gets the call. (I almost left Gower out when typing this). There are many viable combinations; although Gower would be bottom of my list. Having been not so impressed with Orlandi against Villa, I have since watched my recording of the match and have a much more positive impression. It's going to be a scrap for selection, which is as it should be. On top of this we have the possibility of the Chelsea kid joining us .... if he lives up to his hype he would be an automatic starter!?!

    -----------Vorm----------
    Rangel-Caulker-Williams-Taylor
    Dyer-Augustien-Britton-Routledge
    -----------Siggurdson----------
    -----------Graham------------

I'm not sure if I'd start Sig above Allen but I put him in as he should have a chance to prove himself. What a lovely dilema that is for Brendan.

Most of you would put SIG... into the starting 11 out of the new signings that we have made.Just a comment.Situ knows how we play and has been training with us for the past few months, surely if we have a solid back it can push our mid-field to help with our only forward.i would go for 4-4-1-1.thats my opinion.i understand defensive but we must have an attack.1 goal against, then it is going to be hard to get a draw nevermind a win with a defensive mind.
Yes i have read many opinions regarding,we must keep our defence and midfield, but it only takes 1 second for the opponents to score and it will be hard if,we only have a defence field playing.

I think that Situ is still very raw, and from Curt's comments after the reserve practice game yesterday, he's still got a lot of work to do on his distribution (maybe a bit too much hoofball for the first team yet).

On that basis, I'd go with:

    GK: Vorm
    RB: Rangel
    CB: Caulker
    CB: Williams
    LB: Taylor
    RW: Dyer
    CDM: Britton
    CM: Agustien
    CAM: Allen
    LW: Routledge
    ST: Graham

Subs: Tremmell, Gower, Monk, Richards, Sigurdsson, Sinclair, Lita/Moore

I'd be looking to bring on Sigurdsson for Allen at around 75 minutes if we're winning, or 60 minutes if we're losing. Sinclair to replace Routledge or Dyer if either of them aren't performing up to standards either at HT, or around 70 minutes.

Got a good feeling about this game, and think Sigurdsson could well be grabbing a Premiership debut goal to make his mark.

I must say despite the team I've put up I expect Sig to be on the bench.

If we thought Buck's line ups were a bit " out there " over the holidays , imagine the possibilities with the new players thrown into the mix . Wouldn't even hazard a guess

Don't think that Buck will experiment with his starting line-up against Arsenal. I think he will go with the usual suspects and bring on Sig if the situation demands.

One thing about Sig and Mac coming in, we will start to see what BR has been thinking all along about our existing squad members. Some of the regulars of the first half of the season may find themselves riding the bench or playing for the reserves midweek to stay sharp.

we should not start any of the new players until they can play our system to a tee, we should bleed them in slowly giving them 15-20 minutes if the game is won... to start with them could be a disaster if they are not use to our passing football especially against the arsenal.....

Slow bleeders, eh? I wouldn't have them anywhere near our team, Dai.

Yea, Situ is quite raw in terms of his discipline...According to Curt....
The main choice is the the midfield obviously.
    I would go for
    Sinclair,Augustien, Britton, Dyer
    Allen.

Then bring on Routladge and Sigg.

PS: I would bring on Sig for Allen at 60 minutes though, to give him a good 30+ minutes for his first game with us............ <ok>

Thai why would you change a back four that has conceded so few goals and clean sheets including one in the last league game just because new signing has been training with us for few months? Bewildering!

Kidderz I agree with your line up

I don't think any of the new faces will start but will be on the bench and probably play some part in the game. Of late though I have been preferring Routledge to Sinclair. Scott seems like he's trying just a little too hard. Dyer on the other wing is causing lots of problems - more than Sinclair. Routledge has a better final ball than both of them for me.
