IMO, we need: 2 x Goalkeepers One centerback One center mid - to hopefully replace Barton One center mid, as I think Derry will be off in the close season Right mid, as cover for Mackie (I'd like to take Hoillett from Blackburn, but he might be too good to act as cover) Left mid, if Adel is off, otherwise someone to act as cover for him This is in addition to making Diakate and Taiwo permanent. I think we need another forward who plays the Cisse role and yet another one if HH goes or retires. Id also sell Kenny to Leeds and not resign Hill so another CB would be needed. I believe the not retained list comes out on Friday so we might know more about who to replace then.
Think for Hill and Derry we should use the Arsenal model of signing over 30s on year to year contracts. They have both played plenty of games this year and to not keep them in the squad when in reality they have been the heart and soul of the team would seem daft. Depending on what happens to Buzz Joey , Derry , Diakite and Ali seems like the centre mid is the position that we are likely to need at least one addition. Seems that of all those 5 players we can't guarantee any of them will be playing for qpr on first game of season.
Buz and Derry wont be retained, i think we will try to dump barton meaning we need 1 maybe 2 CM. We can easily replace them with better younger players now we have a scouting network.
Think if we lost all 3 we would need at least 2 more in that key position and in reality I would want 3 especially playing 4 5 1. Ali I don't think will start until some games into the season I think this position is the key to wrap up in the off season.

MACKIE IS NOT A RIGHT WINGER! he is a striker. buy a quality winger and use Mackie as a striker. We need to STRENGTHEN the squad. There are several better right wingers available. 1 quality keeper, 2 centre backs. 1 centre midfielder. 1 striker and probably another another winger too.
