  1. I expected nothing less tbh - http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport.../french_legion_handed_derby_warning_1_3684383

It seems like the lads have been telling the new frenchies that the derby day is extremely important.

If Colo and Taylor play like they did vs Arsenal i'm quite confident we can shut Sunderland out.

Barton annihilated Sunderland last season, i reckon he can do it again on saturday.

I reckon there'll be at least 7/8 bookings in this game and someone will get a red card, either Cattermole or Tiote.

A draw would do me <ok>

We still need a LB and there is still no developments on that front so that is a concern. I think we will get the Striker in from france (forgot name). Their defence is not the fastest and I still feel that our pace and strength going forward is still enough to get us a win.

I would have expected/hoped that they'd be aware of the importance without having to be told from their teammates, since most teams will value a local derby win ahead of most other matches in importance anyway.

There are far fewer derbies in France as the teams are spread about so much around the large country.

  8. Yes but this isn't just any derby mate, it's far more critical and passionate than other derbies.

Another easy win for us I suspect our midfield is far superior and this will win us the game.

I would rate our derby as extremely passionate and certainly up there with the best, but Liv/Everton, Rangers/Celtic and the manc derbies are pretty highly charged aswell.

If we get a LB I think we can really push for a win. That would free up Jonas a bit more to attack, if R Taylor is at left back he'll be doing so much covering that he'll hardly be able to get forward.
